Cali’s HouseNation Radio returns this week on Scientific Sound Asia, hosted by DJ Nocturne of Digital Audio Kingz. The broadcast opens with Nocturne before handing over the second hour to guest DJ David Kim.

Originally from Los Angeles, Nocturne began his DJ journey in 2007 under the name DJ Turiz, performing across reggaeton, hip hop and a wide range of Latin styles including bachata, merengue, salsa and cumbia. His versatility and instinctive ability to read the dancefloor quickly earned him recognition throughout the Southern California club circuit.

A transition into electronic music in 2013 marked a defining shift in his career. He co-founded Digital Audio Kingz alongside DJ MORE and became a regular presence on FM radio. By 2018, he adopted the Nocturne alias and launched Cali’s HouseNation Radio, a house-centred programme that has since grown into a globally syndicated series through the CHNR Syndication Network.

Now based in San Diego while maintaining close ties to Los Angeles, Nocturne continues to evolve his sound through projects such as On the Deep End, which explores deeper progressive and melodic territory, alongside Deep House Sessions under the DAK Music banner. His approach remains grounded in groove, emotion and the communal spirit that defines house music culture.

With Nocturne shaping the opening hour and DJ David Kim guiding the second, this edition of Cali’s HouseNation Radio delivers a seamless and energetic journey through contemporary house music on Scientific Sound Asia.

DJ David Kim is a DJ and producer known for his work across melodic house, tech house and afro house. His sound combines melodic structures with driving rhythms, creating music that balances emotional depth with club-focused energy.

His productions are characterised by layered harmonies, steady groove and carefully developed arrangements that move between atmospheric passages and rhythm-driven sections. This approach allows his tracks to maintain dancefloor momentum while building a strong melodic identity.

In recent years, David Kim has released a series of singles and EPs that have helped establish his presence on the international electronic music scene. Recent releases include Amen with Gorbunoff and Phinova on Youth Elevate, Desire with Gorbunoff on Satsuma Music, and Rhythm of the Night with Gorbunoff and Phinova on Deep House Natural. His solo productions, Your Rhythm, Take Me Away, and Heart Beat, were released through HYPECUE Lab, further highlighting his melodic and groove-oriented style.

Additional collaborations include Contramanara with Gorbunoff on Youth Elevate and Heya with Gorbunoff and Cafe De Anatolia on Cafe De Anatolia Records. Earlier work, such as the Move It EP on Sacudan Records and Surrender on Deep Strips, demonstrates the development of his production style, combining melodic house elements with deeper rhythmic foundations.

Through a steady flow of releases across several international labels, David Kim continues to refine a sound built on melodic expression, rhythmic energy and dancefloor functionality, positioning himself as an emerging artist within the contemporary house music community.

The first hour with Nocturne begins in a deeper groove as Feel It introduces a stripped Minimal and Deep Tech rhythm before the warm basslines of Jungla and You Could Be settle into a steady Deep House direction. Soul Groove in the Pornbugs remix and I Need continue that smooth progression, while Pump This Thing Up and Closer reinforce the soulful and melodic house tone of the opening section.

Latin influences start to appear through Dios Es Un Stalker before the rhythm becomes more driving with Azucar and Hacienda. The groove tightens further with Fat Shaker, Trumpet Out and Feel The Beat, where rolling percussion and brass elements highlight the Tech House character of the mix.

The first hour closes with a run of dancefloor-focused selections. Loco and Like Me continue the Tech House momentum before the Deep House rework of Scatman adds a nostalgic twist, bringing the opening set to a playful but groove-centred finish.

The second hour with DJ David Kim shifts immediately into energetic Tech House with Becane Groove and Esto Es Salsa. Tracks such as Fall In Love, Bona and Como Va keep the groove steady before Dance Baby, Akuna Matata and Camilinha expand the Latin-driven club feel.

The closing stretch moves through Funky, Midnight Train, Tupate and 1, 2, 3, 4, while Shorty, Diez Y Nueve, Que Pasa, Electrica Salsa and Candela maintain a vibrant Latin Tech House rhythm that rounds out episode 309 with consistent dancefloor energy.

Tune in to the live broadcast of the show on Saturday, March 7th, 2026, from 4 PM to 6 PM Indochina Time (ICT). If you're unable to catch it live, a replay will be accessible on Wednesday from 4 AM to 6 AM (ICT).
