Cali’s HouseNation Radio returns with a new edition hosted by DJ Nocturne of Digital Audio Kingz on Scientific Sound Asia. The platform operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency and promoter, while also publishing music news and connecting audiences across the region and internationally.

Originally from Los Angeles, Nocturne began his DJ career in 2007 under the name DJ Turiz. During this period, he played a range of Latin and urban styles, including reggaeton, hip hop, bachata, merengue, salsa and cumbia, building a reputation for versatility and strong crowd awareness across the Southern California club scene.

In 2013, he shifted his focus towards electronic music, marking a new phase in his career. Around this time, he co-founded Digital Audio Kingz with DJ MORE and became involved in FM radio, extending his reach beyond the club environment.

By 2018, he adopted the Nocturne alias and launched Cali’s HouseNation Radio, a programme centred on house music that has since grown into a syndicated series through the CHNR Syndication Network. The show reflects his commitment to groove-led selections and the evolving landscape of contemporary house music.

Now based in San Diego while maintaining close ties to Los Angeles, Nocturne continues to refine his sound through projects such as On the Deep End, which explores progressive and melodic styles, alongside Deep House Sessions under the DAK Music banner. His musical direction remains focused on groove, emotion and connection, reflecting the core elements of house music culture while adapting to modern club sounds.

For this edition of Cali’s HouseNation Radio, Nocturne leads the opening hour before handing over to guest DJ Charlie. The Phoenix-based selector brings a house-driven style shaped by Latin, Afro and minimal influences, adding a complementary perspective to the online radio broadcast while maintaining a strong focus on rhythm and dancefloor energy.

Guest DJ Charlie.

Charlie (US) is a Phoenix-based DJ originally from Oregon, whose Mexican-American heritage brings a culturally rich perspective to his sound. From an early age, he was immersed in electronic music, developing a deep and lasting connection to the genre that continues to shape his artistic direction.

His style reflects a broad and diverse musical foundation built through exposure to multiple genres. This versatility allows him to approach DJing with an open and exploratory mindset, adapting his selections to suit different settings and audiences.

Specialising in House, Latin Tech House, Afro House and Minimal House, Charlie blends these influences into cohesive and groove-led sets. His approach focuses on rhythm, combining percussion-driven patterns with rolling basslines and detailed layering.

Through his performances, he aims to elevate the atmosphere while maintaining a strong connection to the dancefloor. His sets are defined by energy, flow and a consistent focus on creating engaging and memorable musical experiences.

The first hour with Nocturne opens with a strong House Music foundation as Silicone Soul and Hot Since 82 set the tone through Right On, Right On, followed by Darius Syrossian and Capri (UK) with In Your House. Us Two and Calussa with Mellizos maintain the groove, while Marian (BR) and Mr. V with Luuk Van Dijk keep the rhythm flowing with classic club energy.

Momentum builds through Josh Baker and Shirali, where Feel This Way and Synth Into Disco introduce a deeper touch before Vanjee shifts into Tech House with The Get Down. Nic Fanciulli, Hot Since 82 and John Summit continue this direction, while Bruno Furlan and Cloonee close the first hour with a more driving, club-focused sound.

The second hour with DJ Charlie moves quickly into Tech House territory as Emi Omar and Jaden Pice establish a tighter groove. Dave M Sanchez and Hovy bring the set back toward House, maintaining balance while keeping the energy consistent.

Afro and Latin influences begin to shape the mix as Tyla’s Water and Wizkid’s Essence are reworked into Afro House edits. Rufus Du Sol’s Innerbloom and Kendrick Lamar’s The Recipe continue this direction, blending vocal elements with deeper rhythmic patterns.

The later stages lean heavily into Tech House as Red Effects and Souler alongside Roger Gunn and Marian (BR) reinforce a driving structure. Tracks like Tai Tai and Saint & Sinners keep the energy locked, while Gabriel Rojas and Sera De Villalta add subtle variation through House and Minimal textures.

The closing stretch maintains this Tech House focus with Juanjo (COL), Victor Guedez and Ernesto Carrera, before Jairo Delli and Ricky Bobbi bring the set to a strong finish. Across both hours, the episode moves from classic House grooves into a modern, club-driven blend of Tech House and Afro-influenced selections.

Listen to the live broadcast of the show on Saturday, April 18th, 2026, from 4 PM to 6 PM Indochina Time (ICT). If you miss the live airing, a replay will be available on Wednesday from 4 AM to 6 AM (ICT).
