Scientific Sound Asia is proud to announce that Niko Power & Bafode are to perform a guest show on Wednesday 27th May 2020 8 PM to 10 PM Indochina Time (ICT) and repeating Sunday 8 AM to 10 AM (ICT). Scientific Sound Asia radio is the English language electronic music station for expatriates and locals in Asia and internationally.
This weeks guests are DJ Duo Niko Power & Bafode. Niko Power is a self-taught musician and percussionist with instrumental music influences from West Africa and Brazil, and is a avid vinyl collector and DJ in his spare time.
He started his DJ sessions with Jamaican music, including Selecta, Reggae, and Dancehall. Over the years he gravitated towards electronic music by playing a lot of mashups, remixes and re-edits inspired by many producers and DJs.
Multi-instrumentalist Bafode draws his energy and inspiration from a colourful musical niche. He sharpens his style by confronting the multiple currents and style emanating from Black Music. Mainly inhabited by the glorious 70s he is a musical chameleon and fuses several styles for the happiness of everyone's ears.
