This week's McCarty Shoot, presented by McCarty Records, features guest appearances from Bokard and K657. Scientific Sound Asia, an underground radio station, music news outlet, DJ agency, and promoter with a global audience in the Asian region, continues to expand its platform with innovative electronic programming.
McCarty Records was created through a creative partnership between Europe and the Middle East, stemming from a long-standing friendship between two dedicated music enthusiasts with extensive industry experience. By combining their expertise and vision, they launched McCarty Records as a new platform for contemporary underground music.
From the beginning, the label adopted a broad and open-minded approach to the Techno spectrum. Committed to independence and innovation, McCarty Records releases music across various sub-genres, including Techno, Melodic Techno, Deep Tech, Minimal, and Tech House.
Through McCarty Shoot, the label will provide a monthly selection of meticulously curated releases, showcasing their own productions alongside guest contributions and standout tracks from the wider international Techno scene. The show aims to highlight emerging talent while reinforcing McCarty Records’ commitment to diverse and evolving underground electronic music.

Guest DJ Bokard.
Bokard is a Brazilian DJ, producer and label figure whose work is rooted in Techno and Tech House. As CEO and A&R of Deckadeck Records, he has developed a role that extends beyond his own productions, supporting electronic music through label activity while continuing to build his catalogue as an artist.
His connection with electronic music began in 1997, before he started DJing regularly in 2005. Since then, he has developed a style shaped by underground house influences, groove-focused rhythms and a flexible approach to tempo, often working between 124 and 132 BPM depending on the venue, time and atmosphere of the set.
After signing his first label contract in 2018, Bokard began releasing music across a wide range of imprints, including Deckadeck Records, G-Mafia Records, Level Up Records, Music 7 Records, CLAB Records, Ubalua Records, Chill House Records, DTL Records, Subwoofer Records, McCarty Records, Let’s Techno Records and Muzenga Records. This broad label history reflects his steady presence within Brazilian and international underground electronic music networks.
His recent output highlights a strong connection to McCarty Records, where remixes such as All Night by Concat, Daddy’s Back! by Dadgar, Ma House and Bitch show his ability to reshape material into functional Tech House and Raw / Deep / Hypnotic Techno forms. His original track Fyah moves into Peak Time / Driving Techno, combining direct energy with a streamlined club structure.
Alongside this, collaborations with Kevin Borges, including Baila Comigo and I Don’t Need, focus on Tech House grooves with dancefloor-ready percussion and rhythmic movement. Releases such as Sex Groove with AnAmStyle and Em Outro Lugar with Dadgar and AnAmStyle further demonstrate his preference for energetic, groove-led productions built for club environments.
As a DJ, Bokard adapts his selections to the setting while maintaining a strong underground identity. His performances across Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, the Lakes Region and Costa Verde have helped build his reputation as an artist focused on originality, sound quality and dancefloor connection.

Guest DJ K657.
K657, also known as Khalil Abid, is a Tunisian DJ and producer based in Montreal, Canada. His connection with electronic music began in the early 2000s through Trance and rave culture, before later developing into a stronger focus on Techno after moving to Montreal in 2017.
The city’s club scene played an important role in shaping his direction, with venues such as Salon Daomé, Newspeak and Stereo helping deepen his connection to underground techno. Inspired by the energy of Montreal’s dancefloors and later by Berlin’s harder techno culture, he began developing a sound that blends Techno, Hard Techno and Trance influences.
A self-taught DJ, K657 started mixing in 2020 alongside Montreal-based artists while learning techniques through online tutorials. Enrico Sangiuliano’s technical approach became an early reference point, influencing his interest in precision, tension and energy control behind the decks.
His productions reflect this combination of raw techno pressure and trance-driven intensity.
Releases such as PAS:SAGE and Snowstorm on LETS TECHNO Records explore Hard Techno through forceful rhythm and direct club energy, while TB Illusion moves into Raw / Deep / Hypnotic Techno with a darker and more rolling structure. His later collaboration with Rhadamanthe, Made In Heaven on Entweihen, pushes further into Hard Trance, connecting directly with the sound that first drew him into electronic music.
Alongside his own productions, K657 recently helped launch RoofTech, a Montreal-based concept where local techno DJs record sets on rooftops around the city. The project aims to give raw underground talent more visibility while offering a platform for artists to develop their mixing skills in a distinctive urban setting.
His DJ sets span different forms of Techno, shifting between heavier kicks, sharp highs, driving basslines, and trance-influenced momentum. Built around the music he would want to hear on the dancefloor, his sound carries an energetic underground identity shaped by Montreal, Berlin and his early connection to rave culture.
McCarty Shoot Episode 4 opens with Bokard at the controls for the first hour, and the selection wastes no time establishing its intent. Coyu and Ramiro Lopez's Clap Your Hands from Drumcode sets the tone with its hammering percussion and distorted vocal, a Techno (Peak Time / Driving) statement of purpose that carries the momentum directly into the Dadgar remix of Coach's Perpetual Dark on McCarty Records.
The Martin Brothers contribute Duckface before Matador's Svinx on Minus arrives as a reminder of how the label's minimal-leaning peak time aesthetic influenced the harder sounds that followed. Bokard's own Black Hole gives the hour a personal anchor, and the Bokard remix of Concat's All Night reinforces the resident's grip on the set.
Danz Maxine's God Is A Lie and Dadgar's X_X push the energy further into the darker end of the techno spectrum, the latter drawing on Dadgar's self-described influences from German Techno's earlier decades. Enrico Sangiuliano's Dutch Kiss in the Straight Mix from Drumcode is one of the clearest signposts in the hour, its driving architecture giving Bokard room to build before Crazyeah closes out his own material. Ugo Anzoino and Nikwel's Upgrade, Andre Salata's Running On Acid, Grandez's Love Is Love, Muhamed's Long Time and Wehbba's Mind Awake carry the first hour through to its conclusion with a consistent forward momentum.
K657 takes over for the second hour and immediately shifts the register with I Hate Models' Sorrows Of The Moon, the French producer's industrial-inflected Techno announcing a harder and more abrasive direction. THEMADDEEJAY contributes heavily throughout, with Event Horizon, Overdose, The Day Has Come and La Belva all on McCarty Records and all operating at the sharper end of the spectrum.
Giovanni Carozza's Overflow and Klangkuenstler's Armageddon on Outworld both land as peak time interventions, the latter living up to its title as one of the more relentless selections in the set. Danz Maxine returns with Sense Irregularity, maintaining the label's presence across both hours.
Trudeg's Ice On My Neck, New Frames' Morgengrau, Basscontroll's Heavenly Times and 23-23, Ossifer's Core in S. Talbot's remix, Itachi's Face Down, Basswell's Blood In My Ears, Charlie Sparks' Kaizoku, Noneoftheabove and DYEN's ESSEM!NJO, and Grand V's Hero Dance carry K657's hour through to the finish.
Taken together, McCarty Shoot Episode 4 is a thorough document of what the label stands for, a relentless two-hour journey through peak time and hard-edged Techno with a clear identity and no concessions to the middle ground.
