Marco Mei publishes playlist for 2021 podcast 44.

Marco Mei of Bicycle Corporation has released the playlist for his upcoming show. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, a DJ agency, a music news website and an event management company connecting audiences across the region and internationally.

Originally from Italy, Marco Mei brings more than thirty years of experience as a DJ and producer. His early influences were rooted in Afrobeat and synthesised music, shaping his direction before he began DJing professionally in the early 1990s.

As his career developed, he secured a residency at Pacha Club in Sharm el-Sheikh. This led to international touring, performing at venues such as Woo Bar, Fuse in Brussels, Room 18 in Taipei, Bangaluu in Berlin, G-Star in Pattaya, SOS Supper Club in Bali and NLO in Minsk alongside artists including Roger Sanchez, David Morales and Funk D’Void.

In 2009, he formed Bicycle Corporation with Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. The project combined their experience in DJing and production, creating a catalogue rooted in house and techno.

Their first signing came via 17:44, followed by releases on labels including Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, GrooveTraxx, Suka and Revox. Since then, they have released more than fifty tracks and remixes across Deep House, Tech House, French House and Techno, including a Hard Techno remix of Origination by Virus D.D.D.

Now based in Taipei, Marco Mei continues to perform regularly across Asia. His presence in the region connects him with a growing network of artists within the Southeast Asian electronic music scene.

His weekly show features a broad selection, including Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica and Techno. He is available for bookings through the Scientific Sound Asia DJ agency.

Marco Mei Podcast 44 opens with オメガ (Omega) before moving into Burning Slowly and Wake Up, Get Down, setting a warm and groove-led foundation. Real Love in the Byron The Aquarius remix and Should I Move On in the Black Loops remix introduce a deeper House Music feel, while Eternity in the Roman Flügel remix adds a subtle melodic edge early in the mix.

The set develops through Easy, Lift Off and Patrick Cowley Was Here, bringing Nu Disco and classic electronic influences into focus. Romanthony’s Let Me Show You Love in Gerd’s Crooklyn mix reinforces the Deep House direction, while Build Me Up and Ice Cream Cone shift the groove towards a more modern Tech House sound.

Energy builds with A Call Out For Love and Dissolve, before Fear From Your Mind and KM 6A introduce a more atmospheric tone. Heyoka in the Sasha Carassi remix and Down continue this transition, blending melodic structure with club-driven rhythms while maintaining a consistent flow.

The closing section moves through Karibu Bagamoyo in the Musumeci remix and Evergreen in the Jerome Sydenham edit, bringing Afro and deeper underground influences into play. In Da Club, Worldwide and Hybrid Society maintain the groove before New Day in the Fur Coat remix closes the session with a refined melodic finish, delivering a balanced mix of House, Deep House and melodic club sounds.
