Scientific Sound Asia is happy to announce that L-J Louis will be starting a new show, 'Enchanted Rhythms', episode 1. Scientific Sound Asia radio is an Asian electronic music station, promoter, and DJ agency for the region.

L-J Louis is a London-born, Melbourne-based DJ who has been honing his craft for the last 20 years. Originally cutting his teeth at house parties where he and his friends would take over the decks and microphone, as well as warehouse gigs throughout the early 2000s.

As a youngster, he took musical influence from acts such as Soul II Soul, Mood II Swing, Masters at Work and 90s R&B, whilst reaching for the dubbier side of House and Garage with artists such as Dem 2, El-B and Steve Gurley and dipping into Drum and Bass and early Dubstep when it suited him.

Having such eclectic taste as well as a huge range of musical influences meant he spent years playing local gigs around Melbourne supporting the likes of Zed Bias, MJ Cole, Joe Nice, Seven, Addison Groove, Deadboy, Kryptic Minds, Mark Pritchard, and others. He did this whilst holding down a weekly show on Sub FM and Kiss FM, Melbourne.

Now showing signs of maturity and being obsessed with seamless blends, you can expect anything from Deep Soulful House and Garage, as well as switching to the dub side of House Music. Enjoy the show.

The mix opens with warm Deep House tones that establish a reflective and inviting foundation. Tracks such as For Real and Atami set a relaxed pace with subtle movement beneath the surface. As the first selections unfold, the session leans into expressive chords and soft rhythmic patterns, creating a mood ideal for easing listeners into the hour.

Momentum builds through pieces like Believe in Something and System Check, where the groove becomes more purposeful while keeping its understated charm. Kerri Chandler’s classic touch in Mommy What’s A Record anchors the set in House tradition before George Fitzgerald’s Child guides the energy into more melodic territory. The journey remains fluid, balancing nostalgia with contemporary depth.

As the flow progresses, tracks such as Moritzplatz, Rascals and The Thing create a richer sense of movement. Organic percussion and warm pads weave between moments of tension and release, giving the mix a satisfying middle arc. The atmosphere shifts gently between Deep House, House and broken-beat influences, each transition handled with careful patience.

In the closing stretch, selections like Walking With Elephants and Feeling You introduce more emotive colour, lifting the mood without losing the intimate direction of the mix. The finale with Mr V’s H.O.U.S.E offers a confident return to classic House spirit, completing an hour shaped by expressive choices and thoughtful progression.
