Graham Gold returns with another edition of Esta La Musica on Scientific Sound Asia. The platform operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency and promoter, while also publishing music news and connecting underground electronic music audiences across Asia and internationally.

With a career spanning more than four decades, Graham Gold remains one of the most recognisable names in electronic music broadcasting and club culture. From London pirate radio and Capital FM through to Kiss 100 and international festival stages, his journey reflects a long-standing connection to dance music’s underground and melodic foundations.

His years at Kiss 100 helped establish him as a defining voice of progressive house and trance during the 1990s and early 2000s, while his involvement with the legendary Peach club nights placed him at the centre of one of London’s most influential electronic music movements. The Peach brand continues to hold a lasting reputation within club culture, with reunion events in London and Ibiza reconnecting audiences with the melodic and progressive sounds associated with that era.

Long before international recognition arrived, Graham Gold had already built a strong presence within London nightlife through his residency at Gulliver’s Club in Mayfair and his work on pirate radio stations across the capital. These formative years exposed him to soul, disco, reggae, jazz-funk and early electronic sounds, influences that continue shaping his musical direction today.

Now based in Thailand, Graham remains deeply connected to Southeast Asia’s underground electronic music community. Through appearances across Koh Phangan, Pattaya, Phuket and Koh Samui, he continues performing at beach events, underground club nights and festival gatherings while maintaining close ties to audiences throughout the region.

At the time of this episode, Graham’s studio output continues evolving towards melodic and progressive club music. His recent Patent Skillz release The Lost City highlights this direction through atmospheric synth work, rolling grooves and layered melodic structures rooted in Melodic House & Techno.

The release also includes remixes from Tomy Wahl and DJ Lion & Just Julien, each offering darker and more groove-focused interpretations of the original production. Graham featured his own original mix of The Lost City in the last edition of Esta La Musica, integrating its melodic textures naturally into the wider journey of the set.

Alongside this release, productions such as Uncanny Parallels, Postponed and Manipulation on Ballroom Records continue reinforcing his focus on melodic progression and contemporary underground club sounds. His collaborations with Samotarev, including Rising and Blue Camels, further explore cinematic Progressive House structures with controlled pacing and emotional depth.

At the same time, Graham maintains a strong connection to the uplifting trance sound that helped define his international reputation. Releases such as Glorified, Living In The Now and the Manuel Le Saux remix of Moving On continue balancing euphoric trance melodies with more modern production approaches, reflecting the broad musical identity that still defines his work today.

Through Esta La Musica, Graham Gold continues presenting a carefully curated blend of Deep House, Progressive House, Melodic House & Techno, Tech House and Trance. Each broadcast reflects decades of experience while remaining firmly connected to contemporary underground electronic music culture.

The mix starts with Sam Monie’s Dowally, introducing an Indie Dance groove before Nick Hook, alongside Carol Neen and Flashmob, move the mix toward warmer House rhythms through Forever and Closer. Mallin deepens the atmosphere further with the smooth Deep House textures of Off My Mind.

Deadmau5 shifts the session toward Progressive House with Nextra, while Namatjira continues the flowing melodic direction through Capricciosa in the Francesco Pico remix. Monolink’s The Prey in the Gui Boratto and Vintage Culture remix then introduces a darker Melodic House and Techno atmosphere.

The middle section tightens rhythmically through Ammo Avenue’s Special, bringing a Tech House groove before Tommy Vercetti and Ilya Schulz move into deeper Minimal Deep-Tech territory with One Year In Siam and Inner Light. Mendo reinforces this stripped-back sound through Minimal Flavour.

Juan (AR) restores a more club-focused groove with Show Me, while Four Hands and Lady Caro’zart return the mix to melodic territory through Dive Into The Shade and Don’t Know. These selections maintain the underground atmosphere while blending melodic and groove-led structures.

The closing section intensifies with Sinisa Tamamovic’s Reboot, introducing a Peak Time Techno finish that contrasts with the deeper, earlier moments of the set. Across the full session, DJ Graham Gold balances melodic, Progressive House and minimal underground sounds with a smooth and varied flow throughout.
