Graham Gold has revealed the playlist for the latest edition of his weekly programme Esta La Musica on Scientific Sound Asia. The platform operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency and promoter, while also publishing music news and connecting audiences across the region and internationally.
The name Esta La Musica comes from a tattoo Graham received during a visit to Los Angeles in the late 1990s, reflecting a lifelong dedication to music, radio and dancefloor culture. He first gained international recognition through his influential broadcasts on London’s Kiss 100 FM, where his weekly shows became closely connected to the rise of electronic music culture throughout the 1990s and early 2000s.
Alongside his radio career, DJ Graham Gold became one of the leading figures behind the legendary Peach club nights in London, helping shape the sound of progressive house and trance during a defining era for UK club culture. Following his move to Southeast Asia, he launched Esta La Musica, continuing his focus on underground electronic music while building strong links with audiences across Asia and beyond.
Before his worldwide breakthrough, Graham established himself through London’s nightlife scene with a decade-long residency at Gulliver’s Club in Mayfair, performing six nights each week. His early passion for Afrocentric rhythms also inspired the creation of The Funky Road Show alongside Duncan Uren, a mobile disco concept that became widely recognised throughout London’s West End during the 1970s.

By the age of eighteen, Graham was already performing black music regularly across London while also becoming active on pirate radio before later joining Capital FM. There, he hosted a weekly soul programme and received the Broadcaster of the Year award in 1985.
His later involvement with Kiss FM elevated his profile internationally, leading to eight consecutive appearances in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs poll and establishing him as one of electronic music broadcasting’s most recognisable names.
Alongside his broadcasting schedule, Graham continues developing a studio catalogue that spans Deep House, Progressive House, Melodic House & Techno and Trance. His collaboration with Kollen, French Horn on Moon Island Records, highlights a warmer Deep House direction built around melodic textures, flowing grooves and understated rhythm. Its inclusion on the Aeonian Vol. 2 compilation reflects continued support for his productions within underground electronic music circles.
His partnership with Samotarev on Asymmetric Recordings also remains a key part of his evolving sound. Tracks such as Rising and Blue Camels combine Progressive House structures with melodic atmospheres and cinematic arrangements, while the DJ Zombi & Maydan remix of Rising pushes further into Melodic House & Techno territory through layered synth work and gradual progression. These releases demonstrate Graham’s continued movement into deeper and more melodic electronic styles while maintaining a strong dancefloor focus.
This melodic direction extends through his Ballroom Records releases. Tracks including Uncanny Parallels and Postponed explore hypnotic grooves and atmospheric melodic structures, while Manipulation, his collaboration with Jourdan Bordes, introduces a more driving club energy balanced by detailed melodic development and darker undertones. Together, these productions reflect a refined approach that bridges progressive club music with contemporary melodic sounds.
At the same time, Graham maintains strong links to uplifting trance through releases on Discover Records. Tracks such as Glorified, Living In The Now and the Manuel Le Saux remix of Moving On revisit the euphoric melodic style associated with his earlier years, while updating the sound through more modern production techniques and arrangement styles suited to current dancefloors.
Peach remains one of the most influential club brands associated with Graham Gold’s career, originally helping define London’s progressive house and trance movement through landmark events at Camden Palace during the 1990s. In recent years, the brand has continued through reunion events in London and Ibiza, including sold-out nights at Ministry of Sound and Fabric, reconnecting original followers with the classic Peach atmosphere while introducing the brand to newer audiences.
Now based in Thailand, Graham remains closely connected to Southeast Asia’s electronic music scene through regular performances in Koh Phangan, Koh Samui, Phuket and Pattaya. Recent appearances include Retro Mountain, Waterfall Festival, Jungle Experience, Elephant Beach Club and Full Moon Party celebrations, alongside beach and sunset sessions that reflect his continued relationship with underground dance culture throughout the region.
Through Esta La Musica, Graham Gold continues to present a broad spectrum of underground electronic music, combining decades of experience with current studio projects and carefully curated programming that moves fluidly between Deep House, Progressive House, Melodic House & Techno, Tech House and Trance.
Esta La Musica 388 by DJ Graham Gold opens with Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada’s Dead Eyes Opened, establishing a deep Progressive House atmosphere before Eze Ramirez continues the flow with Deep Grow. Morttagua follows with Imentent in the Hernan Cattaneo and Marcelo Vasami remix, reinforcing the melodic Progressive direction early in the session.
Jessy Nimni shifts the mood toward Melodic House and Techno through Der Tag Ist Gekommen, while Guy Mantzur and Khen introduce an atmospheric Electronica edge with My Golden Cage in the Kasper Koman reprise. These selections deepen the cinematic atmosphere of the mix.
Alexander Church and Darren Emerson, alongside John Digweed and Nick Muir, continue the melodic progression with Central Coherence and Tracer in the Ian O'Donovan remix. Graham Gold’s own production, The Lost City, maintains this flowing melodic structure while reinforcing the underground tone.
The middle section returns toward Progressive House through Rick Pier O'Neil’s Slow Burning and Abstrakt.Digital’s Dream Sequence adds depth and rhythmic progression. MVMB and Duran with Aytek then guide the set back into Melodic House and Techno territory through Sneaky Fox and Imagine.
A darker shift arrives with Cupido’s Behind The Sun, introducing a stripped-back Minimal and Deep Tech groove before Tomcraft’s Loneliness in the Skymate remix closes the session with a Tech House finish. Across the full mix, DJ Graham Gold balances melodic textures and Progressive House rhythms with a cohesive underground atmosphere throughout.
