Graham Gold has released the playlist for his weekly show 'Esta La Musica' on Scientific Sound Asia, the electronic music station for Asia. The episode aired on Saturday, November 16th, and you can tune in to the show using the Mixcloud player provided below.
The show is titled after a tattoo on his right upper arm, which he got while performing in Los Angeles, USA, in the late 1990s. Graham's international acclaim in the music scene originated from his weekly broadcasts on London's Kiss 100 and his club brand 'Peach' in London. 'Esta La Musica' began after he departed from Kiss 100 and moved to Southeast Asia, adopting the inscription on his arm for his new Techno show.
Graham initially rose to fame in London, United Kingdom, due to his ten-year residency at Gullivers Club in Mayfair, where he performed six nights a week throughout the 1980s. His ascent began at age 17 in the early seventies when his passion for Afrocentric music inspired him to create a popular mobile disco with a friend. 'The Funky Road Show' quickly became the most sought-after brand in West London.
By the age of 18, Graham was performing black music five nights a week in the capital city. This marked the beginning of a journey in the '80s that spanned numerous pirate radio stations throughout the capital, navigating through genres from Reggae and Soul to Disco and Jazz Funk. This path eventually led him to join the Radio London Soul Night Out team and host a weekly Saturday night soul show on London's Capital FM, earning him the title of 'Broadcaster of the Year' in 1985.
Graham has been with Kiss FM since its inception in London, where he achieved worldwide fame as a DJ. His weekly broadcasts were pivotal to Kiss FM's success and catapulted him onto the international scene, securing him a spot in the DJ Magazine Top 100 for eight consecutive years and a place on Dash's list of "Most Popular DJs in the World of All Time."
Graham continues to enjoy a substantial international following and expresses his passion for music through his show and regular performances in Asia and around the world. His weekly show showcases the finest in House and Techno, with promos directly from labels and artists, spanning genres such as Deep House, Progressive House, Melodic House and Techno, Tech House, Deep Tech, Organic House, and Techno.
