El Brujo has unveiled the tracklists for El Brujo and The Wild Bunch episode 28 featuring guest DJ PFTS (Pursuit For a Twisted Sound) on Scientific Sound Asia. The platform operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency and promoter, while also publishing music news and connecting underground electronic music audiences across the region and internationally.

El Brujo, whose real name is Robert Milanesi, was born in Italy in 1964 and developed a deep connection to music from an early age. By the mid-1990s, he had become recognised as one of the founding figures within Bologna’s underground rave movement, helping shape the city’s harder electronic music culture through events, productions and DJ performances rooted in raw underground energy.

His first official release arrived in 2008 with Warriors on the Milan label Open Legs, marking the beginning of a production catalogue that would continue expanding across multiple styles of Techno and underground electronic music. In 2010, he launched Jambalay Records during an opening event at Club Geminis in Ibiza Harbour, establishing a platform closely connected to his darker and more experimental approach to club music.

The project gained wider international attention when Maya Jane Coles included his collaboration with Big Mojo, Mozambique, in her February 2011 chart selection. The release later appeared on the physical CD project Nutty Fellas Are Go, helping introduce El Brujo’s productions to a broader audience within underground electronic music circles.

Over the years, El Brujo has continued releasing material across labels including Elektrax, Frame Workxx, LW Recordings, Subwoofer, Berlin After Dark, Music Is The Drug, Gobekli Tepe, Fortwin Rec, Bunker, Mad Rhythm, SE7ENS and Physical Techno. His 2019 release Plastic Dreams on Frameworkxx reached number 33 in the Beatport Hard Techno chart, reinforcing his position within the harder underground techno scene.

His sound moves across Hard Techno, Raw Techno, Industrial textures and darker experimental electronic styles, often combining distorted rhythms, hypnotic structures and cinematic atmospheres. The Wild Bunch series reflects this wider musical vision, bringing together guest DJs and producers connected to the underground techno community while showcasing promos, unreleased material and recent productions from across the harder electronic spectrum.

Alongside his long-standing DJ activity, El Brujo remains highly active in the studio with a constant flow of new releases and remixes. Recent productions such as No Future on SMR Underground and Kohaku from the Wabi Sabi EP continue his Hard Techno direction through aggressive rhythms and uncompromising energy. At the same time, tracks such as Synesthesia and his remix of We Always Got Guns explore deeper Raw and Hypnotic Techno territory with layered atmospheres and driving low-end pressure.

His more recent catalogue also highlights a willingness to move across genres while maintaining a distinct underground identity. Releases such as Last Night J-AXX LE MÄRT Saved My Life introduce Melodic House & Techno influences, while Polaroid Sky of Sand explores Organic House textures, and Paranoid Experimental Mix moves into darker ambient and Electronica territory. This broad approach reflects an artist focused on experimentation rather than limitation.

Episode 28 also features guest DJ PFTS, short for Pursuit For a Twisted Sound. The project focuses on darker and more hypnotic forms of underground techno, combining industrial textures, driving rhythms and immersive atmospheres shaped by warehouse culture and hard-edged club environments. Their contribution to the Techno radio show The Wild Bunch continues the series’ emphasis on uncompromising underground electronic music and forward-thinking techno selections.

Guest DJ (second hour) PFTS.

In this edition, the guest DJ is PFTS, also known as DJ Glenn, a Belgian DJ and producer who has remained connected to underground electronic music culture since the mid-1990s. His introduction to house music and techno came through late-night radio broadcasts at the age of sixteen, an experience that sparked a long-term fascination with electronic sound and club culture.

Drawn to the energy and atmosphere of the underground scene, he quickly developed a strong passion for DJing and music production. Although he later stepped away from music for a period, the connection never disappeared, eventually leading him back into the studio and behind the decks with renewed focus and direction.

Over recent years, PFTS has steadily developed a catalogue of productions released through labels such as SMR Underground and Trench. His work moves across Melodic House & Techno, Peak Time Techno, Hard Techno and Electronica, combining driving rhythms with melodic tension and heavy percussion-focused arrangements.

Tracks such as New Horizon and Vibrations highlight his preference for energetic Peak Time Techno structures, while Best Mode leans further into Melodic House & Techno through layered synth work and more atmospheric progression. Harder productions, including Slammin and the ANDRØGYN (BE) remix, push deeper into Hard Techno territory with distorted drums, industrial textures and aggressive low-end energy.

His more recent releases also reveal a broader musical range. Tracks such as Fresh and In Peace explore slower and more cinematic Electronica structures, introducing ambient textures and experimental elements alongside the heavier club-focused material that defines much of his catalogue.

PFTS describes his productions through their punchy snares, driving drums and dancefloor-focused energy. His main aim remains creating enough intensity and atmosphere to fully engage listeners and push crowds into movement, a philosophy that continues to shape both his productions and DJ sets.

El Brujo opens The Wild Bunch 28 with Makaja Gonzales and Van Maesen’s I’m Totally Yours, setting a deep hypnotic atmosphere before moving into his own productions Al Gibrah and Ralfa. The early section quickly establishes a Hard Techno identity built around heavy percussion, industrial textures and driving rhythms.

Momentum intensifies through Pinned, Land Of Tinkerbell and Raw 2 The Bones, where El Brujo balances Peak Time Techno energy with harder underground elements. 24 Bats (Southern Horror Show) and The Black Virgin Cult push further into darker territory, while Judge Jay and El Brujo’s Wir Sind Alles Einz reinforce the relentless club-focused atmosphere.

The second hour shifts to Belgian producer PFTS, beginning with Chris van Deer’s Staff Projecter before The Circus and Andres Campo’s Taberni continue the Peak Time momentum. Crime as Service and JX-216 introduce Raw, Deep, and Hypnotic Techno textures through Magellan and Game The System in the Flug remix, expanding the sonic range of the session.

Deborah de Luca’s Kick It and Airod alongside Amelie Lens’ Adrenaline drive the energy higher, while Ramon Tapia and Kai Tracid’s 303 State adds acid-influenced Techno elements. Alignment’s Injection and Makaja Gonzales’ Amazing Things maintain the intensity before Green Velvet and Layton Giordani’s La La Land delivers a recognisable Peak Time crossover moment.

The closing section moves deeper through Blenk’s Forward and Divide’s Termosfera, bringing Raw and Hypnotic textures back into focus before Makaja Gonzales’ People Of Tomorrow closes the session. Across both hours, El Brujo and PFTS deliver a relentless underground Techno journey spanning Hard Techno, Peak Time and Raw hypnotic sounds from across the contemporary European scene.
