Italian DJ and producer Marco Mei, the driving force behind Bicycle Corporation, returns with a new edition of his long-running radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. The station continues to act as a platform for underground electronic and urban music across Asia, linking international audiences through broadcasts, live events and a global artist network.
With a career spanning more than three decades, Marco has developed a sound shaped by Afro-influenced rhythms, deep house foundations and forward-moving club energy. His instinctive connection with the dancefloor, combined with experience and careful musical selection, has earned lasting respect across Europe, Asia and beyond.
Marco’s path began in the early 1990s in Turin, where he immersed himself in the city’s underground club culture. Drawn to house, techno and Afro-rooted grooves, he co-founded the Urban People collective, which contributed to Italy’s early electronic movement through independent parties and forward-thinking events outside the mainstream circuit.
A defining chapter followed with a residency at Pacha in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, expanding his international presence and leading to performances across a wide range of global venues. His touring history includes appearances at Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City, among others.
In 2009, Marco joined forces with producer Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, to form Bicycle Corporation. Together they have released more than fifty tracks and remixes spanning Deep House, Tech House, French House and Techno on labels including Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka and GrooveTraxx. Their work consistently balances club functionality with musical depth, gaining steady support within underground circles.
Now based in Taipei, Marco remains an active presence within the region’s electronic music community. Through his ongoing radio work with Scientific Sound Asia, he channels decades of club experience into carefully curated selections that respect underground heritage while reflecting contemporary club sound.
The opening run leans into straight club functionality as Distraction, and Rock The Beat establish a rolling foundation before DJs Should Be Heard And Not Seen locks into a tight groove. The palette widens slightly with Superdiscoteca and Our Futur, adding electronic colour while Million Pieces keeps the dancefloor firmly moving.
Momentum increases through disco-influenced House movement as Dancin’ and Bootycall lead into the rhythmic push of Beacon Of Light and Work It To The Bone. Classic touches from Dish & Tell and Rhythm Talk reinforce heritage house character while Techno Disco bridges into a more modern club direction.
The third section celebrates the roots with It’s Yours, Paradise and Rock flowing naturally into Down Down Down. Vintage energy returns through I Feel You and Everybody Move It, while Feel It and House Music maintain a steady dancefloor pulse.
The closing stretch turns raw and energetic as This Is The Sound and One More Time bring acid pressure before the hybrid groove of You Don’t Love Disco Juice wraps the session. The mix balances classic house tradition with contemporary club drive, reflecting a broad spectrum of underground dancefloor culture.
DJ Marco Mei will be performing live on Saturday, February 21st, 2026, from 6 to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT). If you miss it, you can watch the replay on Wednesday from 6 to 8 AM (ICT).
