Italian DJ and producer Marco Mei, the creative force behind Bicycle Corporation, returns with a new edition of his long-running radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. The station continues to serve as a vital platform for underground electronic and urban music across Asia, connecting international audiences through radio broadcasts, live events and a global artist network.

With a career spanning more than three decades, Marco has developed a sound shaped by Afro-influenced rhythms, deep house foundations and forward-moving club energy. His instinctive relationship with the dancefloor, combined with an experience-led and refined musical approach, has earned him long-standing respect across Europe, Asia and beyond.

Marco’s journey began in the early 1990s in Turin, where he immersed himself in the city’s underground club culture. Drawn to house, techno and Afro-centric rhythms, he co-founded the Urban People collective, which played a formative role in Italy’s early electronic movement by organising forward-thinking events and club nights beyond the mainstream.

A defining chapter followed with a residency at Pacha in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, which expanded his international profile and opened the door to performances across a wide range of global venues. His touring history includes appearances at Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City, among many others.

In 2009, Marco partnered with producer Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, to form Bicycle Corporation. Together, they have released more than fifty tracks and remixes spanning Deep House, Tech House, French House and Techno, appearing on labels such as Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka and GrooveTraxx. Their output consistently balances club-ready functionality with musical depth, earning steady support within the underground scene.

Now based in Taipei, Marco remains an active and influential presence within the region’s electronic music community. Through his ongoing radio work with Scientific Sound Asia, he channels decades of club culture into carefully curated selections that honour underground heritage while embracing contemporary sounds.

The opening section is rooted in Chicago-leaning club energy. Work That Body brings a raw Ghetto House swing before sliding into the smoother feel of Blow Your Whistle. The transition into Tonight and Mr. Melody keeps things warm and vocal, setting a proper house foundation before The Power and Day By Day steer the mix toward a cleaner Deep House groove.

Midway through, Marco Mei shifts into tighter floor patterns. I Want Magic and Danz Danz maintain a straight House pulse, while Powered introduces a more mechanical Tech House bite. Slow Down, Keep Moving and Deckmann tighten the rhythm further, moving the session steadily toward a darker, more minimal club tone.

The centre of the mix leans into stripped-back textures. Materie Prima and Party Time sit in Minimal Deep Tech territory, creating space before returning to more fluid House movement with Fara and Feel This. The mood then tilts again as Hotter and Narasimha bring Afro House percussion into the flow, adding rhythmic colour without breaking momentum.

The final stretch balances punchy Tech House and peak-time House energy. Bad Habit, Get Down and WHAT_!, sharpen the drive, followed by Body Shaker and Once Upon A Club to close with a firm, dancefloor-focused finish that reflects the full range of the episode.

Catch DJ Marco Mei’s live set on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 6 to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT). If you miss the live show, don’t worry, you can enjoy the replay on Wednesday from 6 to 8 AM (ICT).
