DJ Marco Mei announces the playlist for the 2025 episode 41.

Marco Mei, the veteran Italian DJ and producer behind Bicycle Corporation, returns with a fresh edition of his long-running radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. The station continues to run as a vital platform for underground electronic and urban music across Asia, linking international audiences through radio broadcasts, events and a global artist network.

With a career spanning more than three decades, Marco has developed a distinctive sound rooted in Afro-influenced rhythms, deep house foundations and forward-driving club energy. His instinctive feel for the dancefloor, combined with a refined musical sensibility, has earned him lasting respect and a loyal following across Europe, Asia and beyond.

Marco’s journey began in the early 1990s in Turin, where he immersed himself in the city’s underground club culture. Drawn to house, techno and Afro-centric rhythms, he co-founded the Urban People collective, which played a formative role in Italy’s early electronic music movement by organising progressive events and club nights that pushed beyond mainstream boundaries.

A key turning point followed with a residency at Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, bringing wider international recognition and opening the door to performances at respected venues around the world. His touring history includes clubs such as Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City, among many others.

In 2009, Marco joined forces with Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, forming Bicycle Corporation. Together, they have released more than fifty tracks and remixes across Deep House, Tech House, French House and Techno, appearing on labels including Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka and GrooveTraxx. Their output strikes a balance between club functionality and musical depth, earning consistent support across the underground circuit.

Now based in Taipei, Marco remains an active and influential presence within the region’s electronic music scene. Through his ongoing radio work with Scientific Sound Asia, he distils decades of experience into carefully curated selections that honour classic club culture while embracing contemporary sounds. Each broadcast offers a snapshot of Marco Mei’s enduring connection to the dancefloor, reinforcing his role as a bridge between generations, scenes and global underground communities.

The opening section settles into a confident groove with Disko Inferno and Tangerine Beam, setting a disco-leaning house tone before easing into straight house pressure through Give Me The Beat and Raise Your Hands. The blend feels warm and direct, rooted in club tradition rather than nostalgia.

As the mix develops, tech house takes control with That Feeling, Deckman, and I Need You Baby, where stripped percussion and rolling basslines sharpen the energy. Tracks like The Floor and All Rize keep the momentum tight, balancing minimal swing with classic house attitude.

Midway through, disco and nu disco reappear with purpose. Fou De Joie, LMTA and Dance (Disco Heat) inject colour and uplift, while edits and remixes keep everything locked firmly to the dancefloor rather than drifting into retro territory.

The closing stretch blends vocal house and late-night grooves through Say Nothing, Grow In Silence, and Can You Feel It, before easing out with Lovers and She Got Dis. Episode 41 lands as a cohesive house-focused journey, connecting disco roots, tech house drive and timeless club energy.
