DJ Marco Mei announces the playlist for the 2025 episode 37.

Marco Mei, the veteran Italian DJ and producer behind Bicycle Corporation, returns with a new edition of his long-running radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. The station, recognised for supporting underground electronic and urban music across Asia, continues to connect global audiences through its broadcasts, events, and extensive network of international artists.

With a career spanning more than thirty years, Marco has developed a distinctive reputation for blending Afro-influenced rhythms, deep house grooves, and dynamic club sounds. His refined musical sensibility and natural understanding of the dancefloor have earned him a loyal following across Europe, Asia, and beyond.

Marco’s roots trace back to the early 1990s in Turin, where he became deeply involved in the city’s underground club movement. His interest in house, techno, and Afro-centric rhythms inspired him to co-found Urban People, a pioneering collective that played an influential role in shaping Italy’s early electronic music landscape through forward-thinking events and club nights.

His career expanded further with a residency at Pacha Sharm el-Sheikh, where he first gained international recognition. This was followed by performances at respected venues worldwide, including Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels, and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City. These appearances helped establish Marco’s reputation as a versatile and consistently engaging artist.

In 2009, Marco partnered with fellow Italian producer Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, forming the duo Bicycle Corporation. Their catalogue spans more than fifty original tracks and remixes across Deep House, Tech House, French House, and Techno, released on labels such as Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka, and GrooveTraxx.

Since relocating to Taipei in 2010, Marco has become a key figure in Taiwan’s underground music community. His sets bring together a global perspective with the foundational elements of house and techno, creating a sound that feels both timeless and forward-looking.

Through his radio series on Scientific Sound Asia, Marco continues to share the musical depth, passion, and versatility that define his career. Each episode reflects his commitment to underground culture and his ongoing contribution to the international electronic music scene.

Get Down brings a confident rhythm before Waiting So Long leans into a warm Disco House feel. The flow stays bright with Safe With Me and the Eddie Amador remix of House Music Always, both adding a classic, welcoming energy. Disco Heat slides in with a Nu Disco sparkle, giving the first stretch a colourful lift.

The mid-session continues with a more groove-driven House tone through 23mins36sec and In Love Again. Danz Danz and On The Run 2025 maintain the upbeat drive, followed by Control and Without You, both guiding the mix with smooth melodic movement.
