DJ Marco Mei, the veteran Italian DJ and producer behind Bicycle Corporation, returns with another instalment of his long-running radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. Broadcasting across Asia and reaching listeners worldwide, the station continues to promote underground electronic and urban music while supporting DJs, producers, and fans through its events, platform, and DJ agency.
With over three decades on the international circuit, Marco has earned a reputation for his genre-blending sets that weave Afro-inspired rhythms, deep house grooves, and driving club energy. His musical knowledge and instinctive feel for the dancefloor have gained him a loyal global following.
Marco began his career in the early 1990s in Turin, Italy, where he became deeply involved in the underground club movement. Long nights spent in record stores and behind the decks refined his passion for house, techno, and Afrobeat, leading him to form Urban People, a collective that helped shape Italy’s early electronic scene.
A turning point came with his residency at Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh, which propelled him onto the international stage and opened doors to renowned venues such as Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels, and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City.
In 2009, Marco joined forces with Italian producer Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, forming Bicycle Corporation. Together, they have released over fifty tracks and remixes spanning Deep House, Tech House, French House, and Techno, appearing on respected labels such as Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka, and GrooveTraxx.
Since relocating to Taipei in 2010, Marco has become a key figure in Taiwan’s underground music community. His sets reflect a global outlook, blending eclectic influences while staying grounded in the core traditions of house and techno.
As host of his acclaimed show on Scientific Sound Asia, Marco continues to deliver mixes that capture the energy, emotion, and depth of his live performances. Each broadcast reaffirms his dedication to underground culture and his ability to connect with audiences across borders.
With decades of experience, a global perspective, and a continued passion for innovation, Marco Mei remains a defining figure in house and techno, shaping the scene through his solo work, Bicycle Corporation collaborations, and ongoing radio series on Scientific Sound Asia.
DJ Marco Mei opens episode 34 with SGT Slick’s Found Robert Smith, setting the tone with bright House and Disco influences before moving into I Still Want You by Mange Le Funk and Be Your Freak by Kenny Dope and Josh Milan. Gary’s Garage delivers a classic Garage House swing, and the N.Y.’s Finest remix gives a timeless nod to New York club culture.
The mix deepens with The Dutch from DJ Spen and Thommy Davis, blending soulful energy into Jackin House with Dompe’s Final Round. Indie Dance textures appear through Greta Levska’s remix of IBZALIEN and the remix of Dancing by Grigoré & Serve Cold x Jaguar Jaguar. Body Language from M.A.N.D.Y. and Booka Shade then introduces warm Deep House grooves with hypnotic melodies.
Midway through, Mira Como Bailo by Matt FX & Dan Solo and the Metroplane remix bring a fusion of House and Indie Dance before Chevals’ My Love My Kisses softens the tone with soulful Deep House. Unknown Disco adds retro charm, followed by Tiger Stripes’ energetic A Dance and J’s Track, keeping the rhythm smooth and evolving.
Closing the session, Victor Simonelli’s Feels So Right and Sourires’ After Shock carry the set toward peak House form. Jackin cuts from Simone Cristini and Dompe provide punch, while Phil Fuldner’s Afrodesia and Prospa’s Love Songs round things off with deep emotion and groove, sealing another stylish, genre-spanning episode by DJ Marco Mei.
