Marco Mei, the veteran Italian DJ and producer behind Bicycle Corporation, returns with a new edition of his celebrated radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. Broadcasting across Asia and beyond, the station serves as a platform for underground electronic and urban music, supporting a growing community of DJs, producers, and listeners through its online radio, live events, and DJ network.
With a career spanning over three decades, Marco is known for his ability to craft dynamic sets that weave together Afro-inspired rhythms, driving house grooves, and club-centred electronics. His energetic performances and deep musical knowledge have earned him a loyal following on international dancefloors.
Marco’s roots trace back to the early 1990s in Turin, Italy, where he spent countless hours in record shops and immersed himself in the local underground scene. His love for House, Techno, and Afrobeat led him to co-found Urban People, a collective that played a pivotal role in shaping Italy’s early electronic music landscape.
A turning point came with his residency at Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh, opening the door to appearances at renowned venues such as Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels, and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City.
In 2009, he joined forces with fellow Italian producer Stefano Ugliano, a.k.a. 6884, to form Bicycle Corporation. Together they’ve released more than 50 tracks and remixes across Deep House, Tech House, French House, and Techno, with support from respected labels like Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka, and GrooveTraxx.
After relocating to Taipei in 2010, Marco became a leading figure in Taiwan’s underground club culture. His sets reflect a global sensibility, blending diverse styles while remaining anchored in the spirit of timeless club music.
As host of his long-running show on Scientific Sound Asia, Marco curates episodes that mirror the depth and intensity of his live sets. Each broadcast reflects his enduring passion for underground sounds and showcases carefully selected tracks that resonate with audiences worldwide.
With decades of experience and a global outlook, Marco Mei continues to shape the scene of House and Techno through his solo projects, Bicycle Corporation releases, and ongoing radio presence.
Episode 26 opens with Mousse T.'s rich remix of Amin Bird by Ada Morghe, setting a soulful yet refined tone. This warm-up flows into Dave Lee’s funk-laced People Of All Nationz, while Orbital Drum System and AkTshun inject classic house and disco house grooves into the mix.
The middle section rolls deep with selections like Roy Keane by Brame & Hamo and Gold by Art Of Tones, a track straddling Nu Disco and Indie Dance. Cajmere & Gene Farris’s Love Foundation provides a timeless House anthem, while Farhan Rehman's Strictly Rhythm nods to classic club vibes.
In the latter stretch, we hear standout cuts like Out Of Time by JKriv & Megatronic and On The Run by Sam Karlson. DJ Gomi and Joi Cardwell’s We Can Do Better (Eli Escobar Dub) blends soulful House and Dance effortlessly, leading into an energised peak with Been A Long Time by The Fog (Luuk van Dijk Remix).
Wrapping up, we find deeper cuts like To The Music by Willie Graff & Tuccillo and The Second Chance by Damiano Von Erckert. The episode maintains its eclectic yet cohesive energy through to the end, affirming Marco Mei’s reputation for expertly curated house music sets. Whether you're into deep house music, disco house, or classic club tracks, this one delivers.
