Marco Mei, the seasoned Italian DJ and producer behind Bicycle Corporation, returns with a new edition of his acclaimed radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. As a hub for underground electronic and urban music, Scientific Sound Asia reaches listeners across Asia and around the world through its radio broadcasts, live events, and DJ network.

With over 30 years of experience, Marco is celebrated for his ability to blend Afro-inspired rhythms, house grooves, and club-focused electronics into dynamic, wide-ranging sets. His energetic style and deep musical knowledge have made him a favourite on international dancefloors.

Marco’s journey began in the early 1990s in Turin, Italy, where he immersed himself in record stores and the local underground club scene. A deep passion for House, Techno, and Afrobeat led him to co-found the Urban People collective, a group responsible for organising influential events that helped shape the early Italian electronic music scene.

His career took a major step forward with a residency at Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh. From there, Marco went on to perform at some of the world’s most respected venues, including Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels, and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City.

In 2009, Marco teamed up with fellow Italian producer Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, to create Bicycle Corporation. The duo have since released over 50 tracks and remixes across genres like Deep House, Tech House, French House, and Techno, with support from labels such as Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka, and GrooveTraxx.

After relocating to Taipei in 2010, Marco became a key figure in Taiwan’s underground club culture. His DJ sets are known for their global perspective, blending a variety of influences while staying true to the spirit of classic club music.

As host of his long-running radio show on Scientific Sound Asia, Marco curates episodes that reflect the depth and energy of his live performances. Each show showcases his passion for underground sounds and his skill in selecting tracks that resonate with audiences worldwide.

With a career spanning continents, Marco Mei remains an influential figure in House and Techno, continuing to push boundaries through his solo work, his output as Bicycle Corporation, and his presence on international airwaves.

Episode 25 opens with a vibrant Mainstage remix of Give It To Me 2025 and moves into the soulful Deep and Afro House grooves of Damiano Von Erckert, Made By Pete, and Saison. These early selections lay down a groove-heavy mood with jazzy touches and intricate percussion.

The middle third shifts into heavier House and Nu Disco territory, with standout edits like Cerrone & Christine and the Queens' Supernature MMXXV and The Adventures Of’s Dirty Cash. Purple Disco Machine's remix work and Alan Fitzpatrick’s rework keep the energy high, while tracks by Soul Mass and Toomy Disco maintain rhythmic depth.

Toward the latter half, we hear sharper Tech House and Peak Time cuts from William Kiss, Nicole Moudaber, and Lefti, driving momentum forward with crisp builds and late-night club flair. Indie Dance moments emerge with Antic's Fire and Homiez’s melodic Never Move Back, offering a welcome contrast.

The episode closes with nostalgic flair and groove, bringing in Kerri Chandler’s What Will We Do and a Dimitri From Paris re-edit of Millie Jackson. With House at its core, Marco Mei showcases a broad yet cohesive mix that celebrates multiple strands of electronic music.

Be sure to catch DJ Marco Mei's live performance on Saturday, July 25th, 2025, from 6 to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT). If you can't join the live show, the replay will be available on Wednesday from 6 to 8 AM ICT.
