DJ Marco Mei announces the playlist for the 2025 episode 23.

Marco Mei, the veteran Italian DJ and producer behind Bicycle Corporation, has revealed the track list for his latest radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. As a central platform for electronic and urban music in Asia, Scientific Sound Asia connects global audiences with underground talent and cutting-edge sounds.

With over thirty years in the industry, Marco is renowned for his genre-fluid DJ sets, blending Afro-inspired grooves with contemporary electronic rhythms. His dynamic style and high-energy performances have earned him international acclaim and a devoted following across continents.

Marco’s journey began in the early 1990s amidst the record stores and underground clubs of Turin, Italy. Immersed in House, Techno, and Afrobeat influences, he became part of the Urban People collective, a group known for organising pivotal events that helped shape the evolution of Italy’s electronic music scene.

His rising profile soon secured him a key residency at Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, which marked a turning point that brought international recognition. From there, he graced the decks at major venues worldwide, including Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels, and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City, establishing himself as a versatile and respected artist.

In 2009, Marco teamed up with fellow Italian producer Stefano Ugliano, a.k.a. 6884, to form Bicycle Corporation. The duo have since released over 50 original tracks and remixes spanning House, Techno, Deep House, Tech House, and French House. Their productions have been featured on respected labels such as Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, GrooveTraxx, Suka, and Revox.

Marco relocated to Taipei in 2010, becoming a key figure in the city’s emerging nightlife. His influence helped cultivate a thriving local electronic scene while expanding his reach across Asia. Known for mixing cultures and styles with ease, his sets reflect a global perspective rooted in deep musical understanding.

In addition to club performances, Marco hosts a long-standing radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. Each broadcast showcases his finely tuned selection skills and deep-rooted passion for underground electronic music, offering a distinct listening experience that mirrors the energy of his live sets.

With performances across Europe, Asia, and Africa, Marco Mei continues to shape the international electronic music scene. Through his solo career, his collaborative work with Bicycle Corporation, and his curated radio programming, he remains a vital voice in the global House Music movement.

DJ Marco Mei’s 2025 Episode 23 begins with a fresh remix of Supernature by Purple Disco Machine, adding a Nu Disco flair to Cerrone & Christine and the Queens’ classic. Early selections such as Ain’t No Stoppin’ by Demuir and I Wanna Thank You by Harry Romero showcase House at its most uplifting, while No Minions Allowed dives into deeper textures. Delfonic’s Sister and Luca Martini’s rework of Desire amplify the Disco energy with vintage warmth.

Midway through, the mix explores multiple layers of House. CC Love by The People in Fog and Never Grow Old by RDJ. & Master Kev keep things soulful, while Tibasko’s Not ur Business introduces atmospheric Deep House. Acid elements appear with Sylvester’s Feel U Up at the Disco, reimagined with a classic touch. Chewy Rubs and MEDLAR add flair with standout tracks rich in groove and rhythm.

The Indie Dance section emerges in the second half with tracks like Funky Flights and Heartbreaker by Disco Dom. Their raw textures and retro tones bring a playful underground feel. Lauer’s Miamisync and I Promised Mom’s Big Switch continue that momentum with tightly produced club tracks. Marta Q brings a twist with the minimalistic Intermediate.
