Marco Mei, the experienced Italian DJ and producer behind Bicycle Corporation, has released the tracklist for his latest radio broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia. As a prominent platform for electronic and urban music across Asia and beyond, Scientific Sound Asia plays an important role in connecting global audiences with forward-thinking underground sounds.
With a career spanning over three decades, Marco has established a strong reputation for his rhythmically rich and stylistically diverse DJ sets. He is widely respected for his ability to weave Afro-influenced grooves into contemporary electronic formats, delivering dynamic and captivating performances to audiences worldwide.
Marco’s journey began in the early 1990s in the vibrant record shops and underground clubs of Turin, Italy. His passion for genres such as House, Techno, and Afro-infused rhythms led to his involvement with the Urban People collective, a group that helped shape Italy’s electronic music scene through influential events and club nights.
His growing profile led to a key residency at Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, where he first gained international attention. Since then, Marco has played at notable venues across the globe, including Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels, and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City. Each performance has contributed to his standing as a skilled and adaptable artist.
Marco’s influence extends beyond the DJ booth. In 2009, he partnered with fellow Italian producer Stefano Ugliano (also known as 6884) to form Bicycle Corporation. Together, they have released more than 50 original tracks and remixes spanning House, Techno, French House, Deep House, and Tech House. Their work has been featured on respected labels such as Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, GrooveTraxx, Suka, and Revox.
Following his relocation to Taipei in 2010, Marco became an important figure in the city’s nightlife, helping to develop its electronic music scene while growing his audience across Asia. His frequent regional performances have highlighted his ability to blend diverse cultural influences, earning him a reputation for innovation and inclusiveness.
Beyond his live appearances, Marco presents a long-running radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. Each episode showcases his deep musical insight and refined taste, offering listeners a curated journey through multiple genres with the same energy and attention to detail as his club sets.
With appearances across Europe, Asia, and Africa, Marco Mei continues to serve as a global ambassador for electronic music. Through his work with Bicycle Corporation, his DJ performances, and his carefully crafted radio shows, he remains a respected and influential figure in the international dance music community.
DJ Marco Mei launches Episode 21 with You Can’t Change My Mind by N-Zino and Beautiful Music by Sakro, layering smooth Deep House and classic House grooves. Cinthie’s Hands Up and Cromby & Niki K’s I’m Going Back push the tempo, delivering timeless energy.
He brings Afro House textures through Caught in Silence by Da Mike & Deep Aztec before pivoting into minimal and deep club cuts like Keep Up by A.D.H and Floor 333 by Esteban Calvet & Tommy Benassi. House classics from David Penn, Kim English, and Demuir continue the flow with soulful, high-octane energy.
In the second half, Krystal Klear’s Deathlagg and Hammeroid join forces with Luca Lozano & DJ Steve’s Love Hate and Monastetiq’s Restart, embracing a deeper Indie Dance dimension. Tech House and Funk influences emerge on I’m Going Back (Back To The 90s Mix) and Work UR Booty.
The show rounds off with a warm selection of Soulful and Funky grooves: Shine On My Soul by Mr OFFBeat, It’s Good by Osner, and Bodyfunk by Mother Hackerz. Final tracks like Intentions by Max Sinà l & KingCrowney and Frankie Meets Pauline by Felix da Housecat underscore Marco Mei’s rich blend of House music, both modern and classic.
