DJ Joshua announces his track list for Velvety Elements 310.

Velvety Elements returns with a new edition hosted by DJ Joshua on Scientific Sound Asia. The platform operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency and promoter, while also publishing music news and connecting audiences across the region and internationally.

Based in Évora, Portugal, DJ Joshua has been immersed in electronic music culture since the 1990s. His long-standing relationship with vinyl, cassettes, CDs and digital formats reflects decades of commitment to underground sound and DJ culture.

Although his musical journey has spanned techno, drum and bass and chillout, house music has remained central to his artistic identity. His sets focus on groove, soul and emotional depth, maintaining a consistent connection to both classic and contemporary house influences.

During quieter periods for Portugal’s underground movement, he remained active by organising events and collaborating with fellow artists. These efforts helped sustain a resilient local scene while strengthening his role within the community.

After stepping away from music to focus on family life, he returned with renewed direction through his radio show, Floating Beats. The series developed into a recognised platform for melodic and forward-thinking electronic music.

Velvety Elements followed as a complementary project focused on deeper and more soulful interpretations of house. The show explores warm textures and flowing structures, reflecting a more introspective and refined side of his musical approach.

Working under aliases including K Joshua, Joshua Marian, Joshua Fernand and Joshua Onairam, he continues to explore multiple creative directions. Each project highlights a different aspect of his sound, from minimal grooves to melodic and cinematic compositions.

In 2024, he launched JFLM Recordings as a platform for his own productions while supporting underground artists. The label has since developed into an outlet for both solo work and collaborations, reinforcing his ongoing commitment to the scene.

Under the Joshua Marian alias, releases such as the Nobody Waiting For Me EP on Back to the Beat expanded his focus on groove-led house. Tracks like Just Love and Chance With Soul further explored this direction with refined melodic detail and structured progression.

In 2025, his K Joshua single Light of Faith introduced a more introspective tone within his catalogue. The release combines deep house rhythms with melodic phrasing that balances reflection with forward movement.

Through Velvety Elements, Joshua continues to develop a clear and evolving musical identity. Each episode unfolds as a carefully structured journey, reflecting the enduring character, depth and emotional resonance of house music.

Velvety Elements 310 by DJ Joshua opens with a smooth Deep House foundation as Stablematic sets the tone through Cryogenic, before Borrowed Identity and Mechanical Soul Brother introduce a more classic House groove with Ruhephase In D-Moll. Joshua Marian follows with Oily Gravity, bringing his own Deep House touch into the mix with a warm and rolling rhythm.

Momentum builds through Harley and Muscle and Jose Vilches with Joselacruz, where Thirty Years and Melodic Shadows balance Deep House with Minimal and Deep Tech tracks. Chez Damier and Ron Trent reinforce the classic sound with Untitled 3, adding depth and groove to the progression.

The middle section continues with DJ Steaw and Josh Butler, where The Truth Is Out There and Only Eight maintain a steady, groove-led direction. Elastic Reality introduces a vocal-driven moment with Cassa De X, blending House with deeper club influences.

A melodic shift follows with Julius Strieder’s Sunset People, bringing Organic House elements into the set. Gorge continues the Deep House flow with Beat Trippin, keeping the rhythm consistent and understated.

The closing stretch moves through Laddie’s Radio FM, returning to a House-driven structure to round off the session. Across the full mix, DJ Joshua delivers a cohesive blend of Deep House and House, combining classic influences with modern production and a steady late-night groove.
