During the 1990s, Portugal experienced a cultural conflict with the rise of rave music, which was seen as a contentious and polarizing genre. The lively rhythms and innovative sounds of rave music led to widespread resistance, leading to its eventual exclusion from radio broadcasts.

Amidst the turmoil, DJ Joshua stood out as a beacon of unwavering dedication to electronic music. Despite being banned and condemned by society, DJ Joshua remained steadfast in his passion for the genre, continuing to create and distribute his music through alternative channels and clandestine venues.

From the beginning, the program has garnered a loyal following eagerly anticipating Joshua's carefully selected playlist. Floating Beats, available on multiple respected online platforms, has emerged as a focal point for electronic music enthusiasts.

Driven by a deep love for House music, DJ Joshua launched a new program named "Velvety Elements," dedicated to celebrating the genre's complex emotional richness. His podcasts, renowned for their in-depth exploration of the nuances of House music, have earned him spots on various international House and Techno radio stations, including ours.
