DJ Joshua is thrilled to unveil the latest playlists for his weekly shows, 'Floating Beats' and 'Velvety Elements.' Scientific Sound Asia remains at the forefront of the electronic music scene, serving as a prominent station and DJ agency with an international reach.

Hailing from Evora, Portugal, DJ Joshua is renowned for his impressive electronic music collection. His passion extends to gathering an extensive range of genres in various formats, including digital, vinyl, CD, and tape.

As a teenager, Joshua immersed himself in Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout. He dedicated countless hours to refining his DJ skills and organising his vast music library.

In the early nineties, rave music was scarce on Portuguese airwaves, facing considerable resistance. Joshua’s persistence paid off as he secured radio residencies and introduced rave music to a broader audience.

His reputation grew through hosting events at clubs and bars, earning recognition in his local area and beyond. Following the birth of his child, Joshua took a hiatus from live performances and radio work.

As his daughter grew older, Joshua felt compelled to reconnect with his musical roots. This led to the creation of the 'Floating Beats' podcast and radio series, which have garnered a substantial following and are featured on several prominent online platforms.

Joshua’s dedication to music continued with the launch of 'Velvety Elements,' a show that delves into the deeper, more soulful aspects of House music. Both podcasts have been broadcast internationally, including on our station, for the past two years.

In Joshua’s view, music is a profound art form that combines elements to evoke emotions and make people move. “It’s where sounds can flow and resonate, creating a captivating experience,” he says.

Each week, Joshua explores a diverse array of House Music and Techno sub-genres, including Deep House, Tech House, Melodic House, Detroit Techno, Soulful House, Progressive House, Vocal House, and Melodic Techno.

Listen to the shows live on Monday 24th of October 2022 from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT) and re-airing on Friday from 6 AM to 8 AM (ICT).
