DJ Magazine's top 100, DJ Graham Gold, has published the playlist for 'Esta La Musica' episode 495. Scientific Sound Asia is the Asian electronic music station for the region and internationally.

Graham Gold is a British DJ whose musical genius is celebrated across the globe. After over forty years of wowing clubgoers, captivating audiences, and locking down residencies throughout the world, the disc jockey and producer has firmly established himself as one of the true greats of our time.

Though he has had many successful endeavours throughout his career, Graham's global fame owes heavily to both his London club night, 'Peach', and his weekly show on London's iconic Kiss 100 FM. Graham's weekly podcast was born out of his departure from Kiss 100 FM and the tattoo he had whilst on tour in the United States during the late nineties.

Titled after the tattoo on his arm, 'Esta La Musica' quickly gained momentum with electronic fans tuning in worldwide and soon became a household name amongst music lovers everywhere. The show takes listeners on a journey through all sub-genres, including tech house, progressive house, and techno, laying down sounds that entice and electrify, leaving listeners craving more every time.

His early years as a DJ saw a decade-long residency at Gulliver's Club in London’s Mayfair, where he performed six nights a week. His skills on the turntables and love of Afrocentric music soon led to a partnership with a close friend, Duncan Uren and together they launched 'The Funky Road Show,' a mobile disco in the West End of London.

At just 18, Graham was playing black music across many different nightspots in the U.K. capital. Then in the early eighties, he gained several residencies on pirate radio stations with a variety of genres including Reggae, Soul, Disco, and Jazz Funk.

After a string of rave reviews and sell-out shows, he earned a slot with the Radio London Soul Night Out Crew and began a weekly Saturday night show on London's Capital FM, later winning Broadcaster of the Year in 1985. Though he was well established in the U.K. Capital, his years at London's Kiss 100 FM earned him international acclaim.

He became known as the catalyst for the success of the station and was lifted into the limelight with his entry into the DJ Magazine Top 100, where he held his place for 8 years. Graham's talents have taken him across all four corners of the map with performances in 150 cities in over 40 countries.

He has worked with all the major brands and reared the crowd at some of the world's biggest festivals, including Glastonbury, Gatecrasher, God's Kitchen, and The Street Parade in Zurich, Switzerland. During his time behind the decks, Graham has built a huge international following and continues to draw new fans as he wields his craft at events throughout the world.

He has made releases on a plethora of world-renowned labels and has sold over 700,000 albums of different mixes with 6 BPI Certified Gold & 4 Silver albums to his name. After finishing a European tour, Graham has recently returned to Thailand and taken up residence in Bangkok, Pattaya, and the tropical gem of Koh Phangan, where he has been centre-stage at the island's infamous Full Moon Party.

The turntable star has continued to turn heads in the region and will no doubt soon be setting a whole new tone for the electronic scene across South-East Asia. Graham's weekly show features the best of House and Techno with promos from record labels and producers featuring many sub-genres, including Deep House, Melodic Techno, Progressive House, Melodic House, Techno, and Deep Tech.

The show opens with Quivver & Dave Seaman’s Rapid Unscheduled Assembly on Selador, laying down a progressive house foundation that flows into Eli & Fur’s Last Train, remixed by Cristoph, balancing melodic house textures with progressive drive. Noiyse Project’s Remember Me remixed by Hernan Cattaneo & Jamie Stevens, continues this deep, layered sound, while Rezwan Khan’s Revolt and Martin Sharp’s A Metaphor For Now intensify the progressive journey.

A standout arrives with Gai Barone, Luke Brancaccio & Hannes Bieger’s Reflections, shimmering with Selador’s trademark depth. Moonwalk & Earthlife’s Zoe follows with a melodic house & techno flourish, before Depeche Mode’s Ghosts Again, reworked by Massano, shifts into melodic techno energy with haunting vocal touches. Underworld’s And The Colour Red in Rebuke’s remix then pushes into peak time techno, adding a harder edge to the mix.

The melodic atmosphere resurfaces with Oliver Koletzki & Fritz Kalkbrenner’s Heart On Hold, given a lush Pavel Petrov remix, while Luna (D’arc) & Avira’s Subterranea featuring Miss Monique unites progressive house and melodic house & techno seamlessly. Markus Homm & Gorge add deeper tones with Faded on 8bit, grounding the flow with classic deep house warmth.

The set closes on R-squared’s Lifestyle from Aparenzza, bringing progressive house energy back to the forefront. Esta La Musica 495 highlights Graham Gold’s ability to weave progressive house DJs, melodic techno artists, and deep house music into one fluid underground story, creating a journey both timeless and forward-looking.
