Graham Gold unveils Esta La Musica episode 592, broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia, the international electronic music news platform, DJ agency and promoter connecting listeners across Asia and worldwide with underground electronic sounds.
A celebrated British DJ with more than four decades behind the decks, Graham Gold remains one of the most recognisable figures in electronic music. Known for his technical precision, infectious energy and deep musical knowledge, he continues to engage audiences through a sound that blends house, progressive house, melodic techno and deep tech.
His longevity reflects both adaptability and a consistent understanding of dancefloor dynamics across generations. Ranked in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs for eight consecutive years, Graham’s influence on global club culture is significant.
His breakthrough came through London’s renowned Peach club nights and his long-running residency on Kiss 100 FM, where his radio shows reached international audiences and helped define an important period in electronic music broadcasting. Before achieving global recognition, Graham built his reputation across London’s underground during the 1970s and 1980s, including a decade-long residency at Gulliver’s Club in Mayfair.
His early passion for Afrocentric rhythms led to the creation of The Funky Road Show, a mobile disco concept that introduced reggae, soul, disco and jazz-funk to dancefloors across the city. During this time, he was also active on pirate radio before later joining Capital FM, where he received the Broadcaster of the Year award in 1985.

These foundations supported a career that expanded internationally, taking him to more than 150 cities across over 40 countries. His appearances have included major global events such as Glastonbury Festival, Gatecrasher, God's Kitchen and Street Parade. Alongside his touring work, he has sold more than 700,000 compilation albums, earning six Gold and four Silver BPI certifications, further underlining his impact on the global scene.
As a producer, broadcaster and tastemaker, Graham Gold continues to support both established and emerging artists through Esta La Musica. The show’s name, inspired by a tattoo he received during a tour in the United States in the 1990s, reflects a long-standing connection to music, rhythm and club culture. His broadcasts maintain a balance between classic influences and contemporary selections, reinforcing his relevance within the modern landscape.
Now based in Thailand, Graham remains closely connected to the regional electronic music scene, performing regularly in cities such as Bangkok, Pattaya and Koh Phangan. His appearance at Retro Mountain in early 2025 reaffirmed his ongoing relationship with audiences across Asia, demonstrating a continued presence that bridges established legacy with current underground activity.
Esta La Musica 597 opens with the atmospheric warmth of D-SOUNDS and Stanny Abram, whose The Glory on FLOOR / VISION sets a measured, melodic tone from the outset. Graham Gold follows this with the rolling groove of Mata by Nhii, Shao Dow and Akira Arasawa on Sounds Of Khemit before Enamour steps in with That's Just Jazz! from Maccabi House, the jazz-inflected textures of that Tech House cut sitting naturally alongside the Organic House selections from Tim Green and PROFF on Anjunadeep and the Dissident release from Anwius and Dave Damage.
The middle section deepens into Progressive House territory with three strong picks running in close succession. Monika Kruse and Voodooamt contribute the driving Luvsucka in Tantum's remix on keep my letters, while Zankee Gulati's Arakeen in the Mike Griego remix arrives via Sudbeat Music and Jiggler's Infusion on Dear Deer maintains the momentum. Eelke Kleijn then shifts the mood with Feel It, See It on his own DAYS like NIGHTS imprint, the Melodic House and Techno qualities of that track drawing a clear line between the two halves of the set.
From Cristina Tosio's Sonna on The Soundgarden to Hunter/Game's Sirens on Global Underground, the second half moves between Progressive House and Melodic House and Techno with quiet authority. Budakid's Chromium on Flores provides a contemplative moment before the closing trio shifts the energy noticeably. Azhure and Anthony Cole bring Don't Do It on Sapient Robots, Rafael Vilches adds Dimension on Hollystone Records, and Swarllie and Toni B round things out with No More Games on Maccabi House, the Tech House energy of those final selections pushing the set towards a more direct, floor-focused conclusion.
Esta La Musica 597 is a set that covers considerable ground without ever losing its sense of direction. Progressive House forms the backbone, but Gold moves comfortably through Organic House, Melodic House and Techno, Tech House and Indie Dance, drawing from labels as varied as Anjunadeep, Global Underground, Sudbeat Music and Maccabi House. The result is a show that rewards close listening as much as it satisfies on the dancefloor.
Don’t miss this amazing live show on Saturday, April 25th, 2026, from 8 PM to 10 PM Indochina Time (ICT), with a replay available on Wednesday from 8 AM to 10 AM (ICT).
