Blaze DJ has revealed the playlist for his upcoming broadcast, titled 'Ministry of Breaks' episode 32, on our radio station. Scientific Sound Asia stands as the premier electronic music station and DJ agency in Asia, dedicated to serving a diverse global audience.

Blaze DJ, originating from Walthamstow in the East End of London, U.K., is a British DJ and producer deeply connected to underground music culture and the art of DJing. Throughout his career, he has maintained strong ties to this vibrant scene.

Based on the principle known as the "10,000 hours rule," it is believed that around 10,000 hours of deliberate practice is required to reach a level of expertise and proficiency in a particular field. However, for Blaze DJ, the notion of 10,000 hours merely served as an initial learning period or apprenticeship.

Blaze DJ has dedicated countless hours to his craft, resulting in a profound and intuitive understanding of the turntables, the music he selects, and the audience he entertains. Growing up in a household immersed in a diverse range of musical tastes and genres, Blaze DJ credits his parents and siblings as his earliest sources of inspiration.

Blaze DJ's musical inclinations were influenced by a blend of Jazz, Funk, Disco, New Romantics, and 80's synth-pop. Nonetheless, it was the discovery of the cassette tape House Sounds of Chicago Volume 1 in 1987, during his school days, that marked a pivotal moment for him. From then on, music transcended being a mere pastime; it emerged as a defining force shaping his nights out, his career trajectory, and every aspect of his life.

Commencing his DJing journey at the tender age of 15, Blaze DJ rapidly garnered recognition as a highly sought-after talent. His career kicked off by captivating audiences at a neighbourhood pub in Edmonton, and soon, he secured residencies in Birmingham and Faliraki. There, he regularly showcased his skills to sizable crowds, sometimes reaching up to 2,000 attendees.

Blaze DJ's journey in DJing has encompassed a wide array of experiences, shaping him into a seasoned professional in the field. As a genuine representative of the Acid House generation, Blaze DJ considers himself fortunate to have observed the evolution of the UK's electronic music scene from its nascent stages to the contemporary era.

Despite three decades in the industry, Blaze DJ sustains the same level of enthusiasm and energy in his performances, reminiscent of his early appearances at legendary parties in the early 1990s. His enduring passion for house music has remained steadfast throughout his illustrious career.

Inspired by a diverse spectrum of artists from various eras, Blaze DJ adeptly weaves their influences into his own distinct and original sound. His style seamlessly melds elements of classic house, subtle breaks, a hint of acid, and a sprinkle of techno, resulting in a unique tapestry of musical expression.

Blaze DJ's influence transcended his performances as a DJ. He garnered valuable experience by working in DJ stores and achieved a milestone by pioneering the integration of DJing and production equipment into a single establishment in the country.

In addition, he played a pivotal role in completely transforming the retail experience for the electronic music community. By 2005, Blaze DJ seemed to have lost his passion for performing. Despite continuing to work in the music industry as an audio-visual designer and consultant, focusing on enhancing sound systems in renowned clubs worldwide, he ultimately decided to retire from his DJing career and set aside his headphones.

After a hiatus of fifteen years, Blaze DJ made a comeback with renewed passion and a steadfast determination to excel in his performances. Waste no time, he quickly gained momentum. Despite the challenges faced in the past year, he has already secured three monthly radio slots with Ibiza Club News, Underground Kollektiv, and Scientific Sound Asia.

Bolstered by a comprehensive repertoire of breaks and breakbeat music, and currently affiliated with Industrial Force and Zeta Records, he is primed to make a noteworthy resurgence onto the nightclub circuit. With a career spanning over three decades, he commands a prominent position as one of the most committed DJs within the global breaks community.

The Ministry of Breaks (MOB) brand has experienced a steady rise in popularity over the past few years, gaining recognition in London, the capital of the UK, for its unique fusion of breaks, bass, and bleeps. In parallel, Blaze DJ has been actively engaged in furthering the brand's reach through various channels.

Notably, he has relaunched his personal YouTube channel, alongside the MOB YouTube channel, providing a platform to showcase their distinctive sound and connect with a wider audience. Additionally, Blaze DJ has been instrumental in organising Breaks n Bass parties, contributing to the vibrant nightlife scene and solidifying MOB's presence within the London music community.

Blaze DJ had an incredible month! The Dope Shit Only event in Digbeth, Birmingham, and the night at The Heathcote & Star on the first Friday were unforgettable. The highlight was definitely Breakin Bass on March 16th at Signature Brew, Haggerston, where he shared the stage with The House Crew, Nicky Blackmarket, Tamsin, MINT/Zenmonkey, Skinteeth, Index, Ganya, and Adam Romo. It was properly naughty!

The episode opens with a solid run of Breaks and Nuskool flavours as Blaze DJ moves between new-school productions and classic-leaning edits. Tracks such as Mozambique Dub, LAID BACK and Bring Back To The Funk set a confident tone, while Ghost Voices and North Warsaw reinforce the modern Breaks direction. Early inclusions from Ondamike and Destroyers raise the energy and keep the flow anchored in his trademark Ministry of Breaks identity.

Momentum builds as Nitro, Skin Teeth and JottaFrank add heavier Nuskool and rave-influenced drops. Afghan Headspin’s Check One and Back Tha Phunk bring familiar pressure for longtime followers of the genre. By the midpoint, Blaze DJ locks into a tight sequence of label staples and underground favourites, including Biomeck, Incoming and a standout full-house version of Devotion, bridging Oldskool sensibility with present-day production.

The final act leans further into classic and high-impact territory with nods to The Prodigy, Shades Of Rhythm and Chemical Brothers. Acid Bits and Vibrant Leather introduce sharper electronic edges, while Liberation and 2 Many Reasons underline the influence of acid lines and warehouse-ready builds. Blaze DJ holds the balance between nostalgia and forward momentum with ease.

Closing selections such as White Demon, Teorema, Confident and Rave In The Moon maintain peak intensity before the mix resolves into deeper underground territory with Fecktion 8, My Tale and Adaggio. The episode finishes with fresh Breaks and Bass crossovers like The Hills, Dreadlox and Given My Everything, rounding out a full-spectrum session that showcases Breaks, Nuskool, UK Bass, Oldskool and Garage in equal measure.
