Blaze DJ returns with a new edition of Ministry of Breaks on Scientific Sound Asia. The electronic music radio station, event organiser and DJ agency continues to connect underground artists with a global audience across Asia and beyond, providing a dedicated platform for breaks, bass and forward-thinking club sounds.

Originally from Walthamstow in London’s East End, Blaze DJ is a British DJ and producer whose career has remained firmly rooted in underground music culture and the craft of DJing. His relationship with electronic music has been shaped by long-term immersion rather than trends, with decades spent refining a practical, dancefloor-focused approach.

A defining moment came in 1987 with the discovery of House Sounds of Chicago Volume 1, which marked the beginning of a lifelong commitment to club culture. By the age of fifteen, Blaze DJ was already performing publicly, building early momentum through gigs in Edmonton before securing regular bookings in Birmingham and Faliraki during the height of the UK club era.

As part of the Acid House generation, Blaze DJ witnessed first-hand the evolution of UK electronic music from its formative years through multiple shifts in sound and culture. His musical identity reflects that history, blending classic house foundations with Breaks, acid textures, UK Bass pressure and techno energy, assembled with a clear emphasis on structure, impact and flow.

Following a fifteen-year hiatus, Blaze DJ returned with renewed clarity and production focus. In 2025, he demonstrated consistent studio output across multiple labels, reinforcing his presence within the Breaks and UK Bass scene.

Recent releases include Control on Dirty Kitchen Rave, I Don’t Know on Solid Breaks Records, Ride Da Rhythm and Let It Roll on Ministry of Breaks, and They Call It Music, a 136 BPM crossover production released under his own imprint. His earlier London Bass on ONE7AUDIO and the Home rework for Jeff Alford on Industrial Force further underline his connection to both classic rave energy and modern breakbeat production.

These releases highlight a producer comfortable across Breaks / Breakbeat / UK Bass at tempos between 130 and 140 BPM, while still capable of stepping into crossover territory when required. The consistency of his 2025 output reflects both renewed momentum and a clear artistic direction.

Ministry of Breaks continues to function as both a broadcast platform and a production identity. Alongside the monthly radio show on Scientific Sound Asia, Blaze DJ maintains the brand through releases, curated content and events centred on Breaks n Bass culture. The project remains grounded in authenticity, technical precision and respect for underground heritage, while maintaining forward movement within the contemporary global breaks scene.

The opening stretch of Ministry of Breaks 43 establishes a strong nu skool breaks foundation with Colours, Big Fat and Hot setting crisp percussion and rolling basslines. Bad Girl (Beat Vandals Remix) and the BRLLNT edit of Sandstorm inject early rave energy, while Let’s Go and Happy Illusion keep the momentum tight and club focused.

As the mix develops, Glyzid and I Had 2 Go move into electro breaks territory, adding sharper synth textures and heavier low-end weight. Special, Rhythm Of The Love and Forward Motion reinforce the driving structure, while Blaze DJ’s Fake News slots naturally into the modern nu skool framework.

Mid-section selections such as Because Of You, Falling Down, Deadline and Acrobatics maintain groove density with punchy drum programming. She Knows, Not Rave Enough and Shaolin continue the electro-leaning pressure, keeping transitions clean and rhythmically assertive.

The rave revival edge intensifies with Levels, Muita, Fogo and the Loopcrashing remix of Let Me Be Your Fantasy, drawing clear inspiration from oldskool hardcore breaks while remaining contemporary in production weight. Acid Fire introduces 303 energy, pushing into acid breaks territory before returning to more structured club rhythms.

In the latter stretch, Fabulous Mint 400 and The Answer bring classic electro breaks authority, while Critical Levelz, Aight Bet and Return To You reinforce the UK bass and ghetto breaks influence. Blaze DJ’s It Takes 5 Seconds and Distort One Two maintain the show’s high-impact tempo without unnecessary breakdowns.

The closing run through Rubber Duck, Magic, Frequency and Light The Fire blends rave nostalgia with modern production clarity. Revive brings the episode full circle, ending Ministry of Breaks 43 as a cohesive showcase of nu skool breaks, electro breaks and rave-driven UK bass energy delivered with consistent underground focus.

Catch the live broadcast on Friday, February 27th, 2026, from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT), and don’t forget to tune in for the re-run on Tuesday from 6 AM to 8 AM (ICT).
