Bicycle Corporation has unveiled the playlist for their forthcoming episode 103 of Foundations. Scientific Sound Asia is a renowned online radio station, promoter, and DJ agency, serving the Asian market and maintaining a worldwide presence.
Bicycle Corporation is made up of the Italian DJ and producer duo, Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. Throughout their time in the music industry, they have developed an extensive discography with more than 50 tracks spanning genres such as French House, Deep House, Tech House, and Techno.
Marco embarked on his music career in the early 1990s, immersing himself in the vibrant House Music and Techno scene as a member of the Urban People team. His dedication and talent soon caught the music industry's eye, establishing him as a well-known DJ in Italy. However, Marco's ambitions extended beyond national borders, leading to international bookings that brought him to perform on stages around the globe.
Hailing from Torino, Italy, Stefano demonstrated musical talent early in life. With a keen passion for the arts, he dedicated much of his leisure time to honing his musical abilities. His enthusiasm for music led him to pursue formal education in classical piano, percussion, and drums, fostering a deep appreciation for diverse musical styles, including Chopin's works and the beats of the West African Djembe.
While Stefano had diverse musical interests, he was especially captivated by one element of music: DJing. Enthralled by the art of mixing records, young Stefano was fascinated by the beats rarely heard on Italian radio stations at the time. This fascination with DJing ignited his passion for electronic music and drove him towards a career in the industry.
For some, the idea of creating and performing electronic music before large audiences might seem like an unattainable dream. However, Stefano remained steadfast in his resolve, driven by a clear vision he was determined to bring to life.
After meeting Marco and realising they shared a passion for music, they embarked on a journey marked by hard work, dedication, and unwavering determination. By working together, they transformed their shared dream into reality, founding Bicycle Corporation.
Although Marco and Stefano are currently successful, they remain grounded in their humble beginnings. Reflecting on their journey, they revisited some of their early songs, cherishing the memories of their musical development. To honour their origins, they launched a Bandcamp page to share these tracks, allowing fans to connect with their musical roots.
Foundations 103 by Bicycle Corporation begins with the upbeat House groove of Fly Hi by Whirlpool Productions & Mel Tormé before Ivory shifts into an Indie Dance mood with I Know What You Want. A bootleg of Adam F’s Circles adds Drum and Bass flavour, contrasting sharply with the atmospheric In a Manner of Speaking by Guy Gerber & Desire. From there, Re.You’s Distance brings in Afro House rhythms while Adam Ten & Rafael’s Toys lock into a tight Indie Dance groove.
Midway through, Melodic House & Techno selections rise with Parallelle’s remix of Renegade and Shiffer’s Tasting Darkness. Adana Twins & Xinobi, Grigore, and Krystal Klear continue the Indie Dance focus with richly layered arrangements, while Merachka’s UnderGroov dives into stripped-back Minimal / Deep Tech. Burnin by Johnny Kick and Prospa’s This Rhythm brings House back to the forefront, blending classic and modern production touches.
The deeper third of the set features Fascination by Proper Filthy Naughty, blending House and Synth-pop nostalgia, followed by DJ T.’s Ready To Shine. Techno energy peaks with Tiga & Audion’s Let’s Go Dancing remix before BLOND:ISH & Zeeba’s Different Way and Caribou’s Volume usher in a more experimental Dance and Electronic segment.
The mix closes with a varied finish. De Soffer’s Voyage Voyage offers Nu Disco flair, Disfreq’s Q and Gianni Firmaio’s Good Time return to Indie Dance and Electronic territory, while Giza DJs build momentum with Something Magic. Bicycle Corporation concludes episode 103 with a full-spectrum club session that combines groove-driven rhythms, melodic flow, and an underground edge.
