Bicycle Corporation has announced its guest DJ Hadiid for their 'Roots' episode 154. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music station serving the region and globally.
Bicycle Corporation is an Italian pairing of the DJ and producer Marco Mei and the talented Stefano Ugliano who also goes by the moniker 6884. At the beginning of the nineties, Marco was starting out with his musical journey as a disc jockey and producer.
He began doing his own events as a collective known as Urban People across the length and breadth of Italy. This gained him admiration then after a while, he was offered a residency at Pacha, Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt.
After highlighting his skills at Pacha and gaining more recognition, he started getting DJ bookings at venues across the globe. Thus launching him on a musical journey around the planet to perform on the wheels of steel with renowned stalwarts of the electronic music industry.
Stefano, hailing from Torino Italy, showed promise as a budding musician right from childhood. He showed a keen interest in the musical arts that soon began to engulf most of his spare time. He studied classical piano, percussion and drums and greatly appreciated Chopins and West African Djembe.
As he grew, the disc jockey rearing the crowd with electronic beats proved more alluring to the teenage Stefano. His passion for electronic music which was impossible to find on stations in Italy in the nineties' overcame him and led to the evolution of his production abilities, then he met Marco and Bicycle Corporation was born.
Just recently, their earlier tracks have gone out of contract with the original labels so they have set up a Bandcamp page to distribute them. Their Roots show features guests of the Asian electronic music scene.

This week's guest is Hadiid, Hadiid the electronic music artist is an Asian-born and bred DJ and producer. He originates from the island of Borneo carrying a diversified selection of sounds, pushing boundaries wherever he plays.
Throughout his Djing career, he has ventured around playing gigs around Asia including Koh Phangan, Manila, Jakarta, Bali, and Kuala Lumpur. This allowed him to support local stars and international acts such as Hugo Mendez (Sofrito) and Mathias Schober (Lossless).
As part of the NWHR collective, he now pushes his hometown scene by organising pop-up parties and intimate gigs around Kuching city. Creating diversity in music as well as opportunities for like-minded artists to perform in an ideal environment as well as educating masses of alternative music cultures other than pop is the ultimate goal with NWHR.
Currently, Hadiid is signed to record labels spanning regions from Berlin, Russia, Ukraine, South America and also Asia. These labels include Polytypch, Black Beard, Vertigo Audio, Uxoa Dutxa Elite, Eclipse Recordings, Kaleydo Records, Asia Music, Pizza Tunait, Dear Deer Records, Leftright Sounds, Bullfinch Records, Lossless, Deepsomnia and most recently TAU by The Adana Twins.
