Terence C joins Bicycle Corporation as the guest DJ for episode 138 of Electronic Roots, broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia remains the leading electronic music station, promoter and DJ agency for Asia and internationally, continuing to highlight underground artists across the region.
Bicycle Corporation is the long-standing collaboration between Italian DJ and producer Marco Mei and the classically trained musician Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. With a catalogue of more than fifty tracks and remixes, their work spans House and Techno and reflects a blend of rhythmic intensity and melodic detail.
Marco began his musical journey in the early nineties, inspired by Afro-influenced grooves and Italy’s growing underground club movement. His early involvement with the Urban People collective helped establish his name across the country and eventually led to a pivotal residency at Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh, which secured his international reputation.
Stefano, born and raised in Turin, developed his musical roots through classical piano, percussion and drum studies. Influenced by both Chopin and West African Djembe rhythms, he built a strong appreciation for structure, harmony and groove. This foundation later shaped his transition into electronic music and contributed to Bicycle Corporation’s distinctive sound.
Together, Marco and Stefano continue to respect their underground heritage while evolving their output through new productions and performances. Their Electronic Roots series presents the spectrum of House and Techno through guest collaborations from across Asia, encouraging connection and musical exchange.
Episode 138 featuring Terence C continues this direction, delivering a refined and groove-driven session that reflects both Bicycle Corporation’s artistic identity and the ongoing growth of Asia’s electronic scene.

Guest DJ Terence C.
Terence C, a renowned Malaysian DJ and producer now based in Shanghai, headlines this week’s edition of Electronic Roots on Scientific Sound Asia. With more than two decades of experience, he is recognised as one of Asia’s most respected selectors, known for his technical precision, deep musical understanding and long-standing dedication to quality performances.
A defining figure in Kuala Lumpur’s electronic music landscape, Terence played a central role in shaping the city’s house and techno identity. His long-running residencies at some of Malaysia’s most influential venues earned him a reputation for instinctive crowd reading and consistently polished delivery, securing his place as a trusted name within the region’s underground circuit.
Over the years, Terence has shared stages with international icons including David Morales, Fatboy Slim and Pete Tong. His frequent collaborations with John Digweed, particularly as the Malaysian tour opener at the legendary Zouk Club, strengthened his standing even further and contributed to the rise of a dedicated underground following across Southeast Asia.
Before the pandemic, Terence co-founded We Love Techno with DJ XU, a monthly series built around the driving sounds of Drumcode and Cocoon. The event quickly became one of Kuala Lumpur’s most celebrated techno nights, bringing renewed energy to the city’s club scene and reinforcing Terence’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of the genre.
His own musical journey began in 1998 under the guidance of DJ Chris Doss, leading to early appearances at Cubeat and Globar. His breakthrough came shortly after when he supported David Morales’ debut performance in Malaysia, a milestone that opened doors to high-profile sets at Movement Club, Backroom, Nouvo and Atmosphere. Regional demand soon followed, with bookings at Lush in Singapore and Liquid in Ho Chi Minh City.
In 2005, Terence co-founded Altered Image with Callen Tham and Digital, a multimedia act combining electronics, turntablism and live visuals. The project won the Malaysian edition of the Heineken Thirst competition and went on to tour extensively throughout Southeast Asia.
In recent years, Terence has adopted hybrid DJ setups that combine traditional decks with Ableton Live, giving him greater creative range and allowing for more intricate, evolving performances. His ongoing Movement Control mix series continues to draw listeners, with recent instalments such as Movement Control 275 showcasing his refined approach and evolving sound.
Now focusing on new studio material, Terence remains an influential force within Asia’s underground electronic movement. His appearance on Electronic Roots for Scientific Sound Asia reflects both his forward-thinking musical direction and his enduring contribution to house and techno culture in the region.
The set opens with hypnotic techno from Dub Taylor before easing into the warm deep house textures of Zoo Brazil. Bushwacka! introduces a sharper house groove while Oliver Dollar and Nils Ohrmann bring soulful dub energy. Roman Flügel shifts the tone into playful minimalism, and Brian Cid widens the space with emotive progressive movement.
Robag Wruhme adds a floating melodic touch before Scuba and SCB take things into deeper, bass-driven terrain. Michael Mayer’s indie dance pulse brightens the room, followed by Guy Mantzur’s expansive melodic lines. The section continues with lush progressive selections from Gai Barone, Luke Brancaccio and Simon Vuarambon.
Man Power injects left-field trance colour, shifting the energy before the mix settles into house-leaning selections from Frankey & Sandrino and Butch, blending groove with melodic contour. Jepe’s nu-disco flair adds a lighter rhythmic lift, and Zoo Brazil returns with refined deep tech movement.
The closing stretch leans fully into progressive house, with atmospheric cuts from Stelios Vassiloudis, Nick Muir and Jamie Stevens. Guy J delivers the final emotional statement, providing a warm and immersive finish that ties together the melodic thread running through the entire episode.
Tune in live on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT), and catch the replay on Sunday from 6 AM to 8 AM (ICT).
