Terence C, a respected guest DJ from Bicycle Corporation, is set to present his forthcoming programme, Electronic Roots 131, on Scientific Sound Asia. As Asia's leading electronic dance music station, promoter and DJ agency, Scientific Sound Asia connects with audiences across the region and beyond.
Bicycle Corporation brings together Italian DJ and producer Marco Mei with accomplished producer Stefano Ugliano, professionally known as 6884. The duo have created and remixed more than 50 original tracks across House and Techno, making a substantial mark on the electronic music scene.
Marco began DJing in the early 1990s, drawn to the emerging electronic music movement and Afro-centric rhythms. During his early years, he established Urban People, an organisation that promoted House and Techno events across Italy. This venture deepened Marco's knowledge of sound whilst developing his event management expertise, eventually securing him a residency at Pacha in Egypt.
This key appointment enhanced his standing and led to international DJ bookings that launched his worldwide career. His time at Pacha sparked an intense passion for sharing his musical vision with global audiences.
Stefano, a Torino native, demonstrated exceptional musical talent from childhood. With parental encouragement to pursue music professionally, he focused on classical piano, percussion and drums, taking inspiration from varied sources including Chopin and West African rhythms. This diverse musical foundation has deeply shaped his electronic music work.
Stefano's early exposure to different genres established a strong base for his artistic development. His interest in electronic music emerged during the 1990s, when such sounds were seldom heard on Italian radio, yet their rhythms and melodies fascinated him.
Despite their many achievements, Marco and Stefano maintain their humble approach. They have returned to some earlier material, reinforcing their connection to their musical origins. Consequently, they created a Bandcamp page to present their work, highlighting their commitment to preserving their artistic output.
Electronic Roots, presented by Marco and Stefano, is a radio show focusing on House and Techno that features leading artists from across Asia. The programme celebrates the dynamic Asian electronic music community whilst encouraging international partnerships and creative exchanges.

Episode 131 of Electronic Roots with Terence C opens in melodic tone, with Douglas Greed’s Everything Is Stupid, I Wanna Go Home! blending ironic charm with intricate production. Acid Pauli & Nico Stojan's Tensione brings Afro House warmth and rhythm, followed by the low-slung, moody energy of Timo Maas & Inamo’s Le Tourbillon. Cortona’s Bearfunk and Upercent’s Where Are You deepen the journey into Melodic House & Techno territory, setting the pace for the elegant grooves of Howler by Just Her & Nolan and Colours by John Monkman.
A shift occurs with Wata Igarashi’s Steaming, merging House energy with acidic undertones. Dubspeeka’s Mod 3 (Hardspace Mix) marks the first raid into Raw/Deep/Hypnotic Techno, leading into a powerful medley of hypnotic cuts from Linear Phase’s XX 21 B1 and XX 21 B2, to Axel Karakasis’ pounding Clutter. The pressure intensifies with Yotam Avni’s Malfuf, DJ Sodeyama’s Osiris, and the emotionally textured Radiants by Sam Goku, before Kangding Ray’s Omen delivers a cold, minimal climax.
youANDme & Black Soda return the session to Melodic House with Believe (Tal Fussman Remix), a track both driving and refined. Marcel Dettmann's Suffice To Predict (L.B. Dub Corp Remix) brings Berlin authority with hypnotic low-end finesse, right before The Hacker drops two Classic Electro-flavoured tracks: Turborave and Harmonia, infusing the mix with Detroit-influenced nostalgia and crisp rhythms.
Dusky’s The Mind and Man Power’s Steel Cathedral signal the set’s wind-down, with expansive melodic elements and deep transitions. The episode ends on AI Has No Soul by DCLVIII OFC, a cinematic, futuristic Melodic Techno statement that ties the show together with both soul and machine precision.
Tune in live on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025, between 6 PM and 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT), and catch the rebroadcast on Sunday from 6 AM to 8 AM (ICT).
