Bicycle Corporation introduce guest DJ Bipolar Bear for his first 'Roots' show. Scientific Sound Asia is the Asian electronic music station for the Asian region and globally.
Bicycle Corporation is an Italian duo of the DJ and producer Marco Mei plus the skilled Stefano Ugliano aka 6884. In the early nineties, Marco was starting on his musical journey as a DJ and producer.
After a while, he began doing his own nights as a collective known as 'Urban People' throughout the whole of Italy. This gained him notoriety and he earned a residency at Pacha, which led to him getting DJ bookings internationally, and launched him on a musical endeavour around the planet.
Raised in Torino, Italy, Stefano in his early years displayed a fortitude of abilities with music. He studied with a passion for classical piano, percussion, and drums, he loved his Chopins and West African Djembes.
However, that figure of the DJ standing on the stage performing' proved more and more mesmerising for the teenage Stefano. He wondered if those very electronic beats, so hard to get on ‘90s Italian radio stations, were going to launch a very new chapter in his life and then Bicycle Corporation was born.

This week's guest DJ is Bipolar Bear, Bipolar Bear whose real name is Stefan Paunescu is a Romanian citizen hailing from the small provincial city of Craiova in the south of the country. Growing up in such a small city had problems for the teenage Stefan and options for buying cutting-edge music were scarce, especially being part of the former Eastern Bloc, which as with many former USSR countries drew its main musical influences from MTV.
Luckily with the birth and subsequent development of the internet, the teenage Bipolar Bear was able to quench his thirst for many different genres, and he watched as the digital revolution of music transpired. With a genuine passion for producing and playing good quality music, the Romanian DJ and producer loves building eclectic sets that aim to take the audience on the musical journey he is conducting.
His aim is to always spread positive energy and his enthusiasm is hard to match. After leaving Romania on a forlore and carving his way in the rich Manchester music scene as a DJ and as a producer, his last project Odwana, a blend of electronic dance music infused with world sounds, African percussion and empowering vocals made waves on the UK festival scene, and his new journey materialised.
At the beginning of 2019, he relocated to Da Nang in Vietnam and set up the party brand Badaboom together with fellow DJ G Nomad, aiming to ring the party scene in Central Vietnam to a new level. Their main desire was to share the joys of music with a community of like-minded humans.
As a DJ he takes inspiration from world music and groovy sounds of the 70s and 80s, blending it with fresh sounds of House and Electro with a splash of Disco for the hip-shakers. Enjoy the show.
