Anonymous Z has announced guest DJ Ernest Kalinin for his show this Sunday. Scientific Sound Asia radio is the local and expatriate online electronic music station, DJ agency, and promoter for the Asian region.

Anonymous Z (second hour) is widely known in Saigon, Vietnam for founding the Mad Circus Epic parties. As an organiser of mayhem in its purest form, he created Bahrain’s first underground DJ community, Glassroom. Leading a diverse group of misfits, he hosted parties and afterparties, both official and unofficial, many of which are still remembered as legendary moments in the local nightlife.

His motto at the time captured the spirit of the movement: “They tried to bury us, but they forgot we were seeds.” After joining the Banana Hustle crew and their high-energy tropical sessions, he helped shape their distinctive sound and playful atmosphere. Though originally a dedicated Techno head, his passion for digging deeper into music led him to explore Afro, House, Disco and Funk, always searching for unique gems.

He brings all of this together through his signature selection of hand-picked Techno and the latest Indie Dance. His strong abilities as a selecta have earned him invitations to leading underground venues including Arcan, The Lighthouse, Broma and the Vitamin D afterparties. His non-linear sets are often fully improvised, guided by the energy of the dance floor and moving fluidly across styles. With tense, groovy basslines and vivid, storytelling melodies, his performances remain playful, emotional and entirely unpredictable.

As a guest of this third Not So Anonymous show, Ernest Kalinin delivers the first hour with a smooth, groovy blend of eclectic genres. You may have caught his recent appearances at Epizode Festival in Vietnam or Wonderfruit Festival in Thailand, where his sets earned strong praise for their atmosphere and versatility.

Originally from Southern Russia and now based in Thailand, Ernest began his DJ career in 2013 and quickly became a welcome guest at nightclubs and lounges across major Asian cities. He is the founder of the music showcase Night Sport, where he plays vinyl and explores a wide spectrum of sounds including Techno, Deep House, Underground Disco, Acid Rave and Electro Beats.

His inspiration is shaped by nature, people and the cultural experiences gathered throughout his travels. Ernest has also earned four Top 100 House music hits on Beatport and Decks.de, reflecting both his consistency and creative range. With a unique approach to rhythm and mood, he brings a sound that keeps both long-time followers and new listeners moving on the dance floor.

Anonymous Z begins the second hour with the shadowy mood of Ghost, moving into the minimal tension of Protesis and the dark electro drive of Thalys Theorem. The shift toward retro futurism arrives smoothly through the rhythmic pulse of Coach Mike, a remix that leans into Italo flair while keeping the flow anchored.

A warmer, more playful tone forms as Tango Ipnotico and Basement Love lift the mix into nu disco territory, with deep bass lines and layered percussion shaping the momentum. The groove expands further with Funk You! and the afro disco textures of Paraiso, adding colour and movement.

Energy builds again with the bright synth work of Rainbow Overdrive and the acid edged push of Acid, keeping the set vibrant without losing its sophistication. The final ascent arrives with the distinctive rework of Oh! Superman, followed by the emotional depth of Resonance, closing the hour in a reflective electronic haze that ties the journey together.
