Episode 719 of After Hours presents a deep and emotive progressive house journey curated and hosted by Belgian DJ and producer PatriZe. Broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia, an underground radio station, DJ agency and promoter based in Asia with an international audience, the series continues to connect electronic music communities across the region with the wider global scene.

Now based in Thailand, PatriZe has established himself as a respected figure within the progressive house movement. His sound draws inspiration from early trance and techno influences, developing into long-form DJ sets built around melodic flow, controlled tension and carefully shaped musical direction.

Rather than relying on immediate impact, his approach allows tracks to evolve gradually, giving attention to atmosphere, pacing and continuity throughout the mix. Performances alongside artists such as Guy J and Pole Folder helped shape his technical and expressive style.

An important milestone in his career came in 2010 when he won the Night Museum DJ Competition, which opened the door to wider international recognition. In 2015, he co-founded AH Digital together with Hypnotised.

The label was created as a platform dedicated to underground progressive house and melodic electronic music, supporting both established and emerging artists within the scene. The label’s first release, Inhabitants of Another Realm, reached the Beatport Top 20 and helped establish AH Digital as a reliable outlet for forward-thinking progressive house.

More recent work, including his 2025 remix of The Loon on AH Digital, reflects the continued evolution of his sound, combining melodic depth with precise arrangement and a darker progressive character. As the driving force behind After Hours, PatriZe continues to emphasise long-form storytelling and thoughtful track selection.

Alongside residencies at Beachspot and Thai Lounge and Terrace in Pattaya, and regular appearances with online radio stations, he maintains the series as a platform for progressive house that values musical progression, atmosphere and emotional depth.

Matías Gauna is an Argentine DJ and producer based in Villa Gesell whose work centres on progressive electronic music. His productions combine melodic detail with hypnotic rhythmic structures, creating immersive atmospheres that balance groove, emotion and depth. Through persistence and careful studio development, he has gradually shaped a distinctive sound within the progressive house landscape.

One of the early milestones in his career came when his track Fly on Ground received support from Hernán Cattáneo on episode 678 of the renowned radio show Resident. This recognition introduced his work to a wider audience within the progressive house community and helped establish his name among emerging producers.

Since then, Gauna has continued to expand his catalogue with a series of releases across respected underground labels. In 2026, he released the After All EP on AH Digital, featuring the tracks Route and After All. Both productions highlight his signature approach, combining flowing melodic progressions with steady progressive house rhythms and feature in his show.

Around the same time, he also contributed a remix of Back in the Hole by Rama and Francisco Manrique for Starlight Music Group, further demonstrating his ability to reinterpret progressive structures while maintaining atmospheric depth.

Earlier releases on Soundteller Records, including Introspection, Fireworks and Gravity, helped solidify his presence within the melodic progressive scene. His work also appeared on the PURRFECTION ADE Compilation 2025 with Summer Rain, a collaboration with Unusual Soul.

In addition to progressive house, Gauna has explored melodic techno territory through tracks such as Note From The Past, released on Protagonist Dark. These productions expand his musical palette while retaining the atmospheric qualities that define his style.

His earlier works, Cycles and Fly on Ground, also released through AH Digital, represent the foundation of his catalogue and continue to circulate within progressive house DJ sets. Supported by consistent studio output and a growing international profile, Matías Gauna is steadily establishing himself within the contemporary progressive house electronic music scene.

The first hour with PatriZe begins with a smooth Progressive House opening as the Rama AR remix of Shallow and the Bruno Alonso remix of Side by Side establish a melodic and atmospheric tone. Intuition continues the flowing rhythm before White Lies introduces a subtle Organic House texture that expands the sonic palette while maintaining the steady progression.

The mix develops further with Keepers and Divine Ascension, both reinforcing the deep progressive structure. Novae Impronta and Suburbia maintain the layered melodic direction, while Carousel and To the Sun close the first hour with a consistent rolling groove and polished Progressive House energy.

Matias Gauna opens the second hour with his own production Quiet Drift, continuing the deep progressive tone established earlier in the show. The Joaquin Salmain remix of Far Above and Porkchop keep the rhythm moving, while Tork and Orridian deepen the hypnotic atmosphere.

The closing stretch highlights several of Gauna’s productions including March Leaves, Route and After All, weaving them into the broader progressive journey. Guy J’s Alive Again briefly introduces a melodic house and techno atmosphere before Staring Eye in the Juan Deminicis remix and Bend in the Casnik remix return the focus to Progressive House, bringing episode 719 to a cohesive and melodic finish.

Don't forget to schedule a reminder for the live house music radio show on Monday, March 16th, 2026, from 10:00 PM to midnight Indochina Time (ICT). If you miss the live broadcast, you can listen to the replay on Friday from 10:00 AM to noon (ICT).
