Episode 707 of After Hours delivers a deep and emotive Progressive House journey, curated and hosted by Belgian DJ and producer PatriZe. Broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia, the Vietnam-based radio station, promoter and DJ agency, the series continues to connect underground electronic music communities across Asia and the wider global scene.
Now based in Thailand, PatriZe has established himself as a respected figure within the international Progressive House movement. His sound, shaped by early Trance and Techno influences, is recognised for its smooth melodic flow, restrained tension and strong sense of narrative, allowing tracks to evolve naturally over extended journeys.
Sharing stages with artists such as Guy J and Pole Folder helped sharpen his reputation as a technically refined and emotionally expressive DJ. A key turning point came in 2010 when he won the Night Museum DJ Competition, opening the door to international opportunities and, in 2015, the launch of AH Digital alongside Hypnotised.
The label’s debut release, Inhabitants of Another Realm, reached the Beatport Top 20 and quickly positioned AH Digital as a trusted outlet for quality underground Progressive House. More recently, PatriZe’s 2025 remix of The Loon on the label highlighted the continued evolution of his sound, blending atmosphere, precision and melodic depth.
As the driving force behind After Hours, PatriZe remains committed to both musical integrity and platform-building. With residencies at Beachspot and Thai Lounge and Terrace in Pattaya, alongside regular appearances on Frisky Radio’s Rising Sun and Proton Radio’s AH Digital Essentials, he continues to shape the series as a space for thoughtful, emotionally resonant Progressive House.

Guest DJ Praise (BR).
After Hours welcomes Praise (BR), a Brazilian DJ and producer whose sound sits firmly within the deeper end of progressive and melodic house. Known for crafting emotive, flowing journeys, his music balances warm groove, hypnotic rhythm and atmospheric detail, built with a strong sense of narrative and restraint.
In the studio, Praise (BR) has been steadily expanding his international profile through a series of well-received releases on respected underground labels. His recent EP Drevera / Eclipse / Day Dream, released on Univack in late 2025, marked a significant moment in his catalogue, showcasing layered progressive arrangements, subtle melodic tension and a confident, late-night club sensibility. The release positioned him alongside artists pushing modern progressive house with depth rather than excess.
Further highlights from his current output include Ice, released via Clubsonica Records as part of their sampler series, where he leaned into percussive groove and stripped-back progressive energy. On Droid9, his Mavie release explored more hypnotic structures and rolling momentum, reinforcing his ability to adapt his sound while maintaining a consistent emotional core.
Earlier releases, such as the Inside You EP on South America Avenue, demonstrated his foundations in melodic storytelling, while tracks like Spirit Flow continued to bridge progressive house and melodic house with a focus on atmosphere and flow. Across his catalogue, there is a clear emphasis on balance rather than peaks, allowing tracks to evolve naturally and reward attentive listening.
Alongside these releases, Praise (BR) has appeared on labels including Suprematic Sounds, Balkan Connection, Polyptych Noir, Superordinate and AH Digital, underlining his growing presence within the global progressive underground. Whether behind the decks or in the studio, his approach remains rooted in musical depth, subtle energy and timeless club aesthetics.
With a steadily expanding discography and increasing international support, Praise (BR) continues to represent Brazil with a modern, forward-looking vision, carving a clear path within the global progressive and melodic house community.
The first hour opens with PatriZe setting a measured and emotive pace, where Warrior Poets and Ashen Skies establish a reflective progressive tone. Tracks such as Open Eyes and Solar Mind deepen the journey, combining subtle tension with smooth melodic progression that defines the After Hours sound.
As the mix develops, Alpha and Cracked Identity introduce firmer rhythmic movement while maintaining restraint. Shout of Whispers and El Final add atmospheric layers, leading into the closing stretch where Color and Liquorice round out the hour with controlled energy and refined melodic balance.
Praise (BR) takes over for the second hour with a deeper, more expansive approach. Magischer Gummi and Tell You Later open the set with fluid grooves and warm harmonic movement, while What Remains and SkyWard gradually increase momentum without breaking the hypnotic flow.
The final section moves confidently through Zeitgeist, Hello Brother and The Edge of Space, building a sense of scale and forward motion. Tracks such as Helvetica, Spectral Grid and Arrakis bring the episode to a powerful close, leaving After Hours 707 as a cohesive Progressive House journey shaped by emotion, precision and late-night depth.
Don’t forget to set a reminder for the live house music radio show on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 10:00 PM to midnight Indochina Time (ICT). If you miss it, you can catch the replay on Friday from 10:00 AM to noon (ICT).
