Episode 705 of After Hours offers a richly textured journey through Progressive House, guided by Belgian DJ and producer PatriZe with a guest mix from DJ and producer WAYA. Broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia, the Vietnam-based radio station, promoter and DJ agency, the series continues to support underground electronic music across Asia and the wider global community.

Now based in Thailand, PatriZe has established himself as one of the most respected names in the international Progressive House scene. His sound, shaped by Trance and Techno influences, is celebrated for emotive storytelling, subtle tension and smooth melodic progression.

Performances alongside artists such as Guy J and Pole Folder have helped build his reputation as a technically refined and emotionally expressive DJ. His breakthrough came in 2010 with a win at the Night Museum DJ Competition, which opened the path to international recognition and led to the creation of AH Digital in 2015 with Hypnotised.

Their debut release, Inhabitants of Another Realm, reached the Beatport Top 20 and solidified the label as a reliable source of quality underground music. More recent highlights include his 2025 remix of The Loon on AH Digital, an atmospheric and polished production that showcases PatriZe’s evolving melodic signature.

As the driving force behind After Hours, PatriZe continues to combine established expertise with a commitment to nurturing emerging talent. With residencies at Beachspot and Thai Lounge and Terrace in Pattaya, along with regular appearances on Frisky Radio’s Rising Sun and Proton Radio’s AH Digital Essentials, he remains dedicated to deep, progressive musical storytelling.

Episode 705 carries this vision forward, connecting listeners across continents through a shared appreciation of melodic and emotionally resonant Progressive House music.

After Hours welcomes Sri Lankan DJ and producer WAYA SL, an artist whose sound has become increasingly recognised across the global progressive house community. His journey began straight after school, first as a mobile DJ and later as a resident performer across Sri Lanka and abroad.

Time spent within the Chinese music scene broadened his musical outlook before he returned home, where he established himself through regular shows and a long-running residency at Hotel Vibration in Hikkaduwa. His sets balance deep progressive flow with clean melodic phrasing, a style that has come to define both his mixes and his studio work.

In recent years, WAYA SL has stepped fully into production, releasing a steady run of tracks that reflect his growing confidence and technical refinement. His most current work centres on his latest EP and remixes for AH Digital, including Harmonic Pulse in four versions: the Original Mix, Harmonic Pulse Thomas Ferell Remix, Harmonic Pulse Fernan De Santis Remix, and Harmonic Pulse Praise BR Remix, all released on 21 November 2025.

These tracks highlight the warm progression, emotional movement and detailed rhythm that shape his signature sound. His release schedule this season has also been strong outside AH Digital. State of Mind on Bevel Rec, released on 31 October 2025, showcases his ability to craft smooth, expressive melodic lines.

His remix of Made by Humans by ODAX on Noise In Harmony offers a deeper and more atmospheric interpretation. Dark Sky, released on Progressive Soundscapes Vol. 10 through The Audio Atelier, brings a darker, more hypnotic edge to his catalogue. Inside Out WAYA SL Remix for K3SARA on Moussaieff Records continues his attention to texture and melodic storytelling. Gravity in Silence, released on Big Bells Records as part of their ADE 2025 compilation, rounds out a run of releases that mark him as a producer in clear forward motion.

Today, WAYA SL stands as one of Sri Lanka’s emerging international artists, combining the energy of the local scene with the modern progressive house movement. His guest mix on After Hours reflects the same qualities present in his recent releases, offering a smooth, immersive journey shaped by melody, depth and strong emotional flow.

PatriZe opens the episode with warm textures and reflective tones as Ovlak’s Memories Of Tomorrow guides the first steps into deep Progressive House. Trifonov S sets a slightly moodier edge through the Lean Agüero remix, and Daniel Testas adds a steady rise with Titan Shores. Marcelo PM and Ini Budi follow with fluid melodic phrasing that keeps the energy smooth without losing tension.

The first hour continues with brighter chords from Daniel Camarillo, carried forward by the Cipriani and Hans Gerd remix of Midnight Sun. Facundo Sval’s Mai, shaped by Kalima’s remix, introduces a subtle emotional lift before Federico Cepeda softens the transitions with To Learn. Tom Pavicich adds a sense of late-night reflection, and Leandro Cisbani closes the segment with Renacer, finishing the hour on a cinematic and hopeful note.

WAYA begins the second hour with Astrek’s Confusion, steering the mix into a more driving progressive rhythm. Isu Grackz adds colour with a playful melodic line, while MOSH’s Last Chance offers a deeper club energy through the Sinan Arsan remix. Kyotto refines the tone with Trigger, and Monostone’s collaboration with Noise Genera expands the groove through the Marco Bedini remix of Kuweni.

Joaquín Salmain lifts the momentum further with Concentrate, preparing the way for Gonzalo Cotroneo’s Imperfect and its strong melodic presence. Kyotto offers a rhythmic burst through Supersurge, and Praise shapes Drevera with a more emotional progression. WAYA closes with two of his own productions, including Harmonic Pulse, giving the set a personal signature that rounds off a complete progressive narrative.
