Episode 697 of After Hours presents a deep and immersive exploration of Progressive House, curated by Belgian DJ and producer PatriZe, with a guest mix by Hans Gerd. Broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia, a Vietnam-based electronic music station, promoter, and agency, the series continues to unite underground artists across Asia and beyond through radio programming and live events in Ho Chi Minh City.
Now based in Thailand, PatriZe has established himself as a leading name in the global Progressive House community. Drawing from his early influences in Trance and Techno, his sound has developed into an emotive blend of melodic flow and atmospheric depth, characterised by seamless transitions and a strong sense of storytelling throughout his sets.
His international career includes performances across Europe and Southeast Asia, with a defining moment in 2010 when he performed alongside Guy J and Pole Folder. That same year, his victory at the Night Museum DJ Competition brought him broader recognition and marked the beginning of his ascent in the Progressive House scene.
In 2015, PatriZe co-founded AH Digital with his long-time collaborator Hypnotised. Their debut release, Inhabitants of Another Realm, reached the Beatport Top 20 and included a remix by Rui Da Silva. Since then, the label has become a respected pillar of the Progressive House landscape, consistently supporting emerging artists and achieving global chart success.
Beyond his work as a DJ, PatriZe continues to expand his production catalogue. In April 2025, he and Hypnotised remixed Michael A’s Ignition, delivering a finely crafted version that stood out for its melodic precision and depth. Other recent projects, including Weird Things (Hypnotised & PatriZe Remix), highlight his continued evolution and commitment to the genre.
Currently, PatriZe holds residencies at Beachspot and Thai Lounge & Terrace in Pattaya, while maintaining regular appearances on Frisky Radio’s Rising Sun and Proton Radio’s AH Digital Essentials. Through his After Hours series, he remains dedicated to showcasing new talent and exploring the deeper dimensions of Progressive House for audiences around the world.

Guest DJ Hans Gerd.
Hans Gerd is from Brasília and, from a very young age, has shown great interest in music. Considered talented and versatile, the DJ and producer began his path as a resident at parties and clubs in Brasília. He quickly stood out for his skill in creating warm-up sets, crafting immersive journeys that set the tone for the night.
In the post-pandemic period, with the need to revive and promote the local scene, he joined forces with close DJ friends to create Altar (@altar.bsb), a collective and event brand that he co-founded. His meticulous attention to detail and his ability to adapt perfectly to different environments have earned him immense respect from fans and fellow artists alike.
Hans Gerd’s sound carries organic timbres and percussive elements, always delivered with precision and emotional progression. His music blends genres and trends with elegance, balancing a contagious groove with a deep emotional connection to the dancefloor. The result is an experience that is vibrant, profound, and uniquely his own.
With his music and energy resonating wherever he performs, Hans has appeared at some of Brazil’s most respected venues, including Externa Club (Brasília), D.Edge (São Paulo), BC Club (São Paulo), and Netuno Club (Goiás). He has also played at major national events such as Universo Paralello (Bahia) and Quartzo Festival (Goiás).
Hans Gerd has earned support from and performed alongside international heavyweights such as Ezequiel Arias, D-Nox, Patrice Bäumel, Mariano Mellino, Stan Kolev, Kamilo Sanclemente, and Tomy Wahl, as well as Brazilian legends like Gui Boratto, Alex Stein, and Tonaco.
In 2024, he began releasing his own productions on leading international labels, including Sound Avenue, 3rd Avenue, For Senses Records, and Mística Sounds, marking the next stage in his artistic evolution and further establishing himself as one of Brazil’s most promising names in melodic and progressive house.
PatriZe opens the first hour of After Hours 697 with deep, evolving layers of Progressive House that immediately draw the listener into a warm, hypnotic space. Galatians 69 by Then Again, Freedo Mosho & FC sets a rich melodic foundation before Wonder (Monuloku Remix) and Relumb (Michael A Remix) expand the texture with atmospheric pads and subtle rhythmic builds. Each track unfolds with clarity and emotion, blending melody and groove in true PatriZe fashion.
The journey deepens through Breathing (Thomas Ferell Remix) and Yakuun (Original Mix), balancing introspection with dancefloor motion. Reflections by Mateo Tapia and Entropis by Maysot introduce luminous progressions, while Amethyst by Julian Moreno and Daydreaming by Neuralis close the hour with a reflective tone, capturing the spiritual depth of the genre.
Hans Gerd continues the progression into the second hour, sustaining the flow with a sophisticated selection of layered and forward-driven tracks. Taturana by Brian David & Zaleski and Mechenikel by Tato Seco & Gero Pellizzon provide rhythmic propulsion, while Ritual (Haft Remix) and Prisma (Tonaco Remix) interlace haunting melodies and percussive precision.
As the set evolves, Serendipia and Sonar (Cipriani & Hans Gerd Remix) showcase Hans Gerd’s signature fluid transitions and emotive phrasing. The closing sequence, Kosling, In My Land, Deal With It, and Aurora, blends harmony and drive, rounding out a two-hour exploration of Progressive House that is both dynamic and deeply immersive.
