Episode 677 of After Hours is presented by Belgian DJ and producer PatriZe and features a guest mix by Sineforma. The show airs on Scientific Sound Asia, an acclaimed electronic music radio station, DJ agency and promoter based in Vietnam, known for its international reach and regular events across Ho Chi Minh City and beyond.

PatriZe, now based in Thailand, has earned widespread respect in the Progressive House community for his seamless mixing, emotive melodies, and refined musical selections. With roots in Trance and Techno, his transition into Progressive House allowed him to develop a more intricate and melodic sound. Over the years, his dedication to musical craftsmanship has seen him perform at leading venues and festivals across Europe and Southeast Asia.

A major turning point in PatriZe’s career came in 2010 when he was invited to perform alongside prominent figures such as Guy J (Lost & Found/Bedrock) and Pole Folder (Bedrock/Reworck). This high-profile opportunity was followed by his win at the Night Museum DJ Competition, solidifying his presence on the professional circuit.

In 2015, he co-founded AH Digital with long-time collaborator Hypnotised. Their debut release, Inhabitants of Another Realm, made an immediate impact, reaching the top 20 on the Techno and Tech House charts. The title track was later remixed by Rui Da Silva, bringing further recognition to the label. Since then, AH Digital has consistently placed tracks in Beatport’s Progressive House Top 100, becoming a respected imprint in the genre.

PatriZe is a regular presence in Pattaya’s underground scene, where he holds residencies at venues such as Beachspot and Thai Lounge & Terrace. In addition to live performances, he also appears on prominent radio platforms including Frisky Radio’s Rising Sun, Proton Radio’s AH Digital Essentials, and his own After Hours series, which continues to highlight new and established talent from around the globe.

With his enduring collaboration with Hypnotised and a growing global following, PatriZe remains a key figure in the Progressive House scene, known for pushing boundaries while staying true to the genre’s melodic roots.

Guest DJ Sineforma.

This week's guest DJ is Sineforma, a Melbourne-based progressive house producer and DJ whose music is designed to stir deep emotional responses. Known for weaving dark, brooding tones with moments of brightness, his productions explore the tension and beauty in contrast. This nuanced balance gives his tracks a sense of unpredictability and depth, keeping listeners both grounded and transported.

Sineforma began his musical journey in the world of metal, but in 2020 made a decisive shift toward progressive house. Since then, he has cultivated a unique sound that reflects both his intense musical background and a refined ear for intricate production. Drawing influence from the progressive house scenes in Melbourne, Sri Lanka, and Latin America, his work embodies a rich tapestry of cultural and stylistic inspirations.

His music has found a home on respected labels such as Spiritual Enhancer, Balkan Connection, Freegrant Music, and Late Night Music. Tracks like “Fractal Dream” and “Mirage” have earned him growing recognition, receiving support from well-regarded names in the genre, including Gai Barone, Gorkiz, and Redspace. Each release demonstrates his ability to combine raw sonic intensity with melodic sophistication.

In addition to his work in the studio, Sineforma has expanded into live performance, stepping behind the decks to further connect with his audience. His recently launched DJ series, “Formations,” offers a dedicated space for him to showcase his original music alongside carefully curated selections that reflect his progressive ethos.

Whether performing live or producing in the studio, Sineforma is driven by a commitment to expressive storytelling through sound. His approach to progressive house is deeply personal, shaped by a desire to forge emotional connections and create music that lingers in the listener's memory. As he continues to grow both locally and internationally, Sineforma is fast becoming a name to watch in the progressive house music world.
