Uncharted Frequencies has published its track list for its biweekly show on Thursday. Scientific Sound Asia Radio is the Asian electronic music station, promoter, and DJ agency for China, Vietnam, Malaysia, India and the wider Asian region.

Uncharted Frequencies is a bi-weekly sound show on Scientific Sound Asia Radio and a collaborative initiative between Dhaka-based artist Shayekh Mohammad Arif, known as Dr Moonstruck, and Colombo-based artist Hersiaz Hasi. The show acts as a meeting point for experimental and underground sounds from across the world.

This week’s host is Dr Moonstruck. His real name is Shayekh Mohammad Arif and he is a DJ and producer from Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is also a composer, sound-collector and audio-visual artist working across new media.

His productions draw on industrial elements, noise-driven provocation and avant-garde electronics, often forming sonic commentaries on modern society, political behaviour, collective identity, and the culture industries. Much of his performance work is built from site-specific recordings that he shapes into interactive audio-visual pieces.

He is an active figure in the Bangladeshi contemporary art scene and performs regularly as an experimental electronic musician, both solo and in collaborative formations including duos, bands, and hybrid instrumental setups. His work has appeared in a range of festivals, exhibitions and interdisciplinary showcases.

He has served as the artistic director of Half Moon Collectives in Dhaka since 2016, is a resident artist of Delta Tribe Dhaka, and works as a sound artist with Soul City Arts in the UK. His catalogue includes releases across eleven international labels and collaborations with artists from the UK, Netherlands, Australia, Russia, Mexico, Algeria, Germany, Iran, the USA and Bangladesh.

A significant achievement in his career was performing at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre as part of the Transforming Narratives initiative supported by Arts Council England and the British Council. He also featured at Birmingham Weekender and contributed to the Knights of the Raj exhibition programme at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, performing alongside live instrumentalists.

Beyond these highlights, he has appeared at more than thirty-five respected events including Shakti Peak Festival in Nepal, BUKAN Night at the British Council, the Knights of the Raj afterparty, StartUP Dhaka, DUNMUN Fest, ATYA Festival and many others.

He was awarded Artist of the Month by Colours FM in Dhaka, and his sound scores have been played on over fifty international radio shows. He has also been invited by more than twenty-five global radio stations to present his experimental sound showcases, each delivered with notable success.

The episode opens with the warm, spacious flow of Marrakesh in the Kay-D remix, gently setting the tone before shifting into the deep, aquatic movement of Beast Of Sea from Guy J. Gux Jimenez’s touch appears throughout the early selections, steering Horizonte and The Legend of Hannya into rich, atmospheric progressive territory. Grey Gardens follows with a more hypnotic pulse, carrying the session neatly into an unreleased ID, keeping the mood intriguing and forward-leaning.

Energy rises as Mike Griego’s Solaris in the Cid Inc remix brings a signature rolling drive, matched by the reflective glow of Reflections. Stan Kolev and Aaron Suiss lift the set further with Anomolous, maintaining a sleek, polished groove. These transitions build naturally into the deeper tones of Alfa and the crisp melodic detail of For A While, both shaping a confident mid-section.

The mix widens as Sundance and Tiger introduce a brighter edge, pushing the flow toward a more dynamic late-stage progression. Cosmic Night in the Tone Depth remix sweeps in with expressive melodic phrasing, pairing well with ARTBAT’s expansive rework of Hypercolour, which adds bold drama without breaking continuity.

The closing stretch leans cinematic with Eighteen Five and the reflective textures of Initial, setting up the final lift. Innellea’s remix of Underwater Breathtaking provides a resonant ending, full of emotional weight and melodic depth, completing a seamless journey through progressive and melodic spaces for this third edition of Uncharted Frequency.
