Cali’s HouseNation Radio returns this week on Scientific Sound Asia, hosted by DJ Nocturne of Digital Audio Kingz. The broadcast opens with Nocturne before handing over the second hour to guest DJ James Halon.
Originally from Los Angeles, Nocturne began his DJ journey in 2007 under the name DJ Turiz, performing across reggaeton, hip hop and a wide range of Latin styles including bachata, merengue, salsa and cumbia. His versatility and instinctive ability to read the dancefloor quickly earned him recognition throughout the Southern California club circuit.
A transition into electronic music in 2013 marked a defining shift in his career. He co-founded Digital Audio Kingz alongside DJ MORE and became a regular presence on FM radio. By 2018, he adopted the Nocturne alias and launched Cali’s HouseNation Radio, a house-centred programme that has since grown into a globally syndicated series through the CHNR Syndication Network.
Now based in San Diego while maintaining close ties to Los Angeles, Nocturne continues to evolve his sound through projects such as On the Deep End, which explores deeper progressive and melodic territory, alongside Deep House Sessions under the DAK Music banner. His approach remains grounded in groove, emotion and the communal spirit that defines house music culture.
With Nocturne shaping the opening hour and DJ James Halon taking control of the second, this edition of Cali’s HouseNation Radio delivers a seamless, high-energy journey through contemporary house music on Scientific Sound Asia.

Guest DJ James Halon.
James Halon is a DJ and producer based in Riverside, California, working across House, Melodic House, Progressive House and Techno. His sets are constructed as long-form journeys, balancing groove and atmosphere while maintaining a consistent melodic thread.
Drawing influence from dub techno depth, classic house rhythm and occasional breaks energy, his approach centres on flow rather than short-form peak moments. His involvement in electronic music began in the mid-1990s in Texas, initially playing drum and bass and house before relocating to San Francisco in 1999.
The city’s warehouse era proved formative, where he became active both as a DJ and promoter. Running sound systems, organising events and collaborating with local collectives shaped a floor-focused philosophy that continues to define his work today.
In the studio, his productions reflect the same direction heard in his DJ sets, emotive and layered arrangements designed for progression and narrative movement. His releases have appeared on Sound Avenue, Future Avenue, 3rd Avenue, Session Road Music, Crossfade Sounds, Massive Harmony Records and ThreeRecords in the UK, positioning him within the deeper progressive and melodic circuit.
Now based in Southern California, Halon contributes to the teams behind Electro Fest and Funday, remaining active in community-driven events and underground gatherings. Whether performing or supporting production behind the scenes, his emphasis stays consistent: music as shared experience, continuity across a set, and dancefloors shaped through atmosphere and patience rather than spectacle.
Nocturne opens with a strong Jackin House sequence as Gettin' Ghetto, Get Azzid, Dope House, Kool and Sleepless Fantasy establish a steady rhythmic focus. The tone then loosens slightly through Make It Happen, while Inside Out and Je Vois Un Rêve move into classic House structure. Anytime and Big Life continue that groove before Represent and Bora Nessa introduce tighter Tech House patterns.
The first hour finishes with Crazy, Sudamérica, Cruel Summer (Again) and the familiar uplift of Big Fun.
James Halon shifts the direction immediately with the melodic Progressive House feel of Tuesday Maybe. Mirror Machine adds a more percussive edge before I Surrender returns to flowing progression. His own Lepidoptera brings a deeper hypnotic tone, followed by the melodic structure of Paradise and the rhythmic swing of Nao.
The middle section settles into sustained progression as L’Amour Toujours and Bring The Power provide forward movement, with Time For Peace and World On Fire expanding the melodic atmosphere. Azure and Take You With Me maintain continuity before Clockwork, Turn Up The Juice and Thaumaturgy build a steady Progressive House core.
The closing stretch balances melodic and deeper textures. Without You softens the pace, while About a Tribe and Colors rebuild tension. The Taking, Mistily and The Sky Below keep the melodic focus intact, and Fair Game ends the session on a clean House groove.
Tune in to the live broadcast of the show on Saturday, February 17, 2026, from 4 PM to 6 PM Indochina Time (ICT). If you miss it, don’t worry, you can catch the replay on Wednesday from 4 AM to 6 AM (ICT).
