Cali’s HouseNation Radio returns with a new edition hosted by DJ Nocturne of Digital Audio Kingz on Scientific Sound Asia. The platform operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency and promoter, while also publishing music news and connecting audiences across the region and internationally.

Originally from Los Angeles, Nocturne began his DJ career in 2007 under the name DJ Turiz. During this time, he played a range of Latin and urban styles, including reggaeton, hip hop, bachata, merengue, salsa and cumbia, building a reputation for versatility and strong crowd awareness across the Southern California club scene.

In 2013, he shifted his focus towards electronic music, marking a new phase in his career. Around this period, he co-founded Digital Audio Kingz with DJ MORE and became involved in FM radio, extending his reach beyond the club environment.

By 2018, he adopted the Nocturne alias and launched Cali’s HouseNation Radio, a programme centred on house music that has since grown into a syndicated series through the CHNR Syndication Network.

Now based in San Diego while maintaining close ties to Los Angeles, Nocturne continues to refine his sound through projects such as On the Deep End, which explores progressive and melodic styles, alongside Deep House Sessions under the DAK Music banner.

His musical direction remains focused on groove, emotion and connection, reflecting the core elements of house music culture while adapting to contemporary sounds. For this edition of Cali’s HouseNation Radio, Nocturne leads the opening hour before handing over to guest DJ Ed-e, bringing together two distinct approaches to house music for listeners on Scientific Sound Asia Radio.

DJ Ed-e, originally from Salinas, California, was introduced to house music during the mid to late 1990s. His early connection to the scene came through the dancefloor, where long nights immersed in house music gradually developed into a deeper passion for DJing.

Since 2010, he has been actively pursuing his craft, building experience and refining a style rooted in classic and contemporary house influences. His approach reflects a strong appreciation for groove, energy and the communal spirit of the dancefloor.

He is currently a resident DJ at Compact Disco in Monterey, California, where he performs alongside his wife, DJ LoloH. Together, they contribute to the local scene with sets that maintain a consistent focus on house music culture and audience connection.

The first hour with Nocturne opens with a smooth Deep House flow as A-Trak, Kapote and Sam Ruffillo set the tone through La La Tune, followed by Wolves By Night and Reber with Raphael Raban maintaining a warm, groove-led direction. Mr. ID and Ye-Llow continue this approach, keeping the early section consistent and melodic.

Energy builds as Bubba Brothers and Fuzzy Hair shift the set into House territory with I Wanna Do It With U and Gotta Power, while Tomy Raiz and Roland Clark reinforce a classic club feel. Ultra Naté adds a more vocal-driven moment before Ben Miller and Collective States move into a more driving Tech House section.

The latter part of the first hour continues with DJ Dan and Rossweisse, and Alessandra Jamarne, where Touch Me and 2 Cool 4 School keep the groove tight. Fran Romero and Vertigo introduce Latin Tech elements with Congo, while Angelina closes the hour with Release Me, blending Freestyle and House influences.

The second hour with DJ Ed-e returns to a deeper groove through Temu and Joss Moog, before Soul Of Hex and Larry Funk bring in House Music and Disco textures. Mood Edits and Daniell Spencer maintain a steady rhythm, while Dave Beer and Robert Owens add a classic vocal House presence.

As the set progresses, Tech House and Jackin House become more prominent with Fynutzu, Greenbay Jackers and Juwan Rates, while Ritmo Du Vela and The Sexicanz reinforce a funk-driven, sample-led direction. Vasily Umanets and Zzama return briefly to a deeper sound, adding balance to the mix.

The closing stretch moves through Chris Stussy and Kahnti with DJ Spend’s, where Next To You and My Boo Thang bring Jackin House and Afro House elements together. The final selections maintain a groove-led finish, rounding off a session that moves from Deep House into classic, Disco and Jackin House club sounds.

Tune in to the live broadcast of the show on Saturday, April 4th, 2026, from 4 PM to 6 PM Indochina Time (ICT). If you can't catch it live, a replay will be accessible on Wednesday from 4 AM to 6 AM (ICT).
