Marco Mei has shared his playlist for his program on Scientific Sound Asia radio. This station serves as an English-language radio station, DJ Agency, and promoter covering India, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Sri Lanka, and other parts of Asia while also having a worldwide presence.
With almost three decades of experience, Marco is an Italian DJ and producer. During his teenage years, he developed a passion for Afrocentric music and the origins of electronic music, which led him to start his career as a DJ in the early nineties.
During his early days as a DJ, he travelled across Italy playing at House Music and Techno events, starting from modest origins. Eventually, he gained the opportunity to perform at various festivals and clubs worldwide alongside renowned DJs like Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Ralph Falcon, and Sander Kleinenberg.
After finding success in his home country, he landed a residency at the famous nightclub franchise Pacha. Later, he relocated to Africa to start his residency in South Sinai, Egypt, particularly in Sharm el Sheikh. His residency and his reputation for energizing the nightlife scene resulted in international DJ bookings and launched him into a global musical adventure.
He embarked on a global tour, visiting captivating nightclubs around the world such as OBS (Saigon), Fuse (Brussels), CE' LA VI (Taipei), Shore Club (Hoi An), Bangaluu (Berlin), G-Star (Pattaya), Woobar (Bali), Global Dance Moscow, and many more, where he shared the stage with renowned artists.
At the conclusion of the decade in 2009, Marco initiated a production partnership with Stefano Ugliano (also known as 6884), resulting in the development of Bicycle Corporation. Their joint progress in the studio has led to the creation of numerous releases, with their profile now boasting 50 tracks and remixes that have been warmly embraced by the community.
Having moved to Taipei, Taiwan at the start of the previous decade, Marco currently resides there and entertains audiences at various events in the capital. He is among the talented DJs and producers featured on our online radio station.
