Marco Mei has unveiled his playlist for his upcoming show on Saturday. Scientific Sound Asia is an English-language electronic music station, DJ agency, and event management company catering to India, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Sri Lanka, and the wider Asian region.
Hailing from Italy, Marco is a DJ and producer with almost thirty years of experience. His musical journey began in his early teens when he was captivated by Afrobeat, Reggae, Funk, Disco, early Hip Hop, and the emergence of electronic music.
In the early nineties, Marco embarked on his career as a Disc Jockey, honing his craft with performances across Italy. His talent led him to play at numerous festivals and clubs worldwide, sharing stages with industry heavyweights like Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Ralph Falcon, and Sander Kleinenberg.
By the early 2000s, Marco secured a residency at the Pacha Club in Sharm-El-Sheikh, Egypt, before expanding his reach globally. He graced renowned nightclubs around the world, including OBS (Saigon), Fuse (Brussels), CE' LA VI (Taipei), Shore Club (Hoi An), Bangaluu (Berlin), G-Star (Pattaya), Woobar (Bali), Global Dance Moscow, and many more.
In 2009, Marco and his friend Stefano Ugliano (aka 6884) formed a production duo, giving rise to Bicycle Corporation. Their collaborative studio efforts resulted in over 50 tracks and remixes that have been well-received in the House Music scene.
Currently based in Taipei, Taiwan since 2010, Marco performs at regular events across the cityscape. Prior to the lockdown, he extensively toured Asia and Eastern Europe, maintaining a regular presence at clubs and venues, and remains a staple artist on our radio station.
His weekly show encompasses a diverse array of genres, including Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu-Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica, and Techno. Marco is available for international bookings through our DJ Agency for Asia.
