Marco Mei has announced his track list for his forthcoming show this Saturday the 17th of August from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT) and repeating Sunday from 2 PM to 4 PM (ICT). Scientific Sound Asia radio is the underground electronic music station for Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia and the rest of Asia.
Marco Mei is an Italian disc jockey and producer with over three decades of experience. Spending his formative years learning his trade with the genesis of afrobeat and electronic music he began his life as a Disc Jockey at the beginning of the '90s.
In the following years, he performed at some of the most mesmerising festivals and Nightclubs in the world. He has shared the turntables with Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Ralph Falcon, Sander Kleinenberg, Harry “Choo Choo” Romero, Justin Berkmann and Funk D’Void.
As his reputation grew he got a residency at the well-respected Pacha Club in Sharm-El-Sheikh, and as a consequence, he began jetting around the planet as a DJ. He has performed at a good selection of underground nightclubs including Arcan (Saigon), Fuse (Brussels), Room 18 (Taipei), Shore Club (Hoi An), Bangaluu (Berlin), G-Star (Pattaya), SOS Supper Club (Bali) and NLO (Minsk).
In 2009 Marco formed a duo with Stefano Ugliano (aka 6884) and “Bicycle Corporation” was born. Their array of skills as DJs' gave them a good start as producers.
With a great background in House and Techno music, their subsequent releases got noticed from the beginning and played by industry heavyweights. They were then signed on the 17:44 record label and many tracks were released on a variety of record labels such as Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, GrooveTraxx, Suka, and Revox.
In the years that followed they put out well over fifty tracks and remixes, across many genres from Deep and Tech-House to French House and Techno. The majority of their tracks have been blessed with plays by the following DJs, Sneak, Mauro Picotto, Dubfire, Axwell, Danny Tenaglia and Above & Beyond.
Marco is currently based in Taiwan where he demonstrates his love of his art with prowess, his initial success with “Ciao Taipei”, was the local revelation of 2013 and allowed him to become part of an ever-growing network of world-renowned artists on Scientific Sound Asia Radio.
His weekly show features a broad selection of genres including Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu-Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica, and Techno. He is available for further bookings through our DJ Agency.
