Killian Walsh shares experimental new single ‘Let’s Play Bongos’.

Killian Walsh returns with new single Let’s Play Bongos, the latest release taken from his forthcoming album Ise. Released ahead of the full project arriving on 26th June 2026 via Ardchumhacht, the track explores a more rhythm-driven and expansive side of the artist’s evolving sound.

Built around hypnotic percussion, analogue textures and psychedelic electronic elements, Let’s Play Bongos blends experimental electronic production with acid-leaning grooves, organic rhythms and immersive sound design. The track gradually unfolds through layered percussion, atmospheric textures and playful sonic details, combining underground rave influences with a free-flowing and almost ritualistic energy.

While rooted in experimental electronic music, the release also draws from Ambient, House, Trance and Techno influences, reflecting the wider sonic direction of the forthcoming album. Animal sounds, organic percussion and evolving analogue elements give the track a loose and natural feeling, while its gradual progression and warm closing moments create a sense of release rather than pure dancefloor intensity.

Discussing the single, Killian Walsh explained:

“There was a point where I started to realise my world was going from black and white back into colour a little bit, and I just wanted to dance, and to forget about life and what was going on. ‘Let’s Play Bongos’ is about those times going to raves with bonfires, people juggling and dancing around the fire. That’s what this song is about. I hope people enjoy it.”

The track forms part of Walsh’s forthcoming album Ise, a deeply personal project developed during a transformative period following the deaths of his wife and father. What began as an unplanned creative outlet gradually evolved into a full-length body of work centred around grief, reflection and emotional renewal. Developed with collaborators across Dublin, Berlin and Australia, the album combines introspective songwriting with expansive electronic production and experimental textures.

Born in Ireland, Killian Walsh continues to build a sound that moves fluidly between emotional electronic music and underground rave-inspired experimentation, balancing cinematic atmosphere with raw rhythmic energy.
