Graham Gold has unveiled the playlist for his weekly program Esta La Musica. Scientific Sound Asia is a platform committed to electronic music, functioning as an electronic music station, DJ agency, music news site and event promoter in Asia with a global audience.
Graham's show took its name from the tattoo on his right arm, acquired in Los Angeles, United States, during the late nineties. He rose to prominence in the electronic music scene with his weekly broadcasts on London's Kiss 100.
Moreover, he is renowned for his London club brand 'Peach'. Following his departure from Kiss 100 and relocation to Southeast Asia, he introduced Esta La Musica. This new Techno radio show was named after the tattoo on his arm bearing the title 'Esta La Musica'.
During his early DJ years, Graham made a name for himself in London, UK, with a decade-long residency at Gulliver's Club in Mayfair, where he performed six nights a week. His standing within the clubbing scene elevated, establishing him as a prominent figure.
At the age of seventeen, his journey to success commenced when his love for Afrocentric music inspired the launch of a popular mobile disco alongside a friend in the early seventies. Together, he and Duncan Uren transformed The Funky Road Show into a renowned brand in London's West End.
By eighteen, Graham was playing black music five nights a week in the UK capital. This led to regular slots on various pirate radio stations in the 1980s across London, exposing him to diverse music genres like Reggae, Soul, Disco, and Jazz Funk.
Subsequently, he joined the Radio London Soul Night Out team and hosted a weekly soul show on Capital FM in London, earning the Broadcaster of the Year accolade in 1985. Graham has been affiliated with Kiss FM since its inception in London, garnering global recognition along the way.
His weekly sets were pivotal in Kiss's triumph, catapulting him to international stardom with a consistent presence in DJ Magazine's prestigious Top 100 list for 8 years, followed by inclusion in Dash's ranking of the Most Popular DJs in the world of all time. Graham continues to amass a substantial global fan base and channels his music passion through his show and regular appearances at events worldwide, particularly in Asia.
Graham's weekly show features top-tier House and Techno tracks, showcasing exclusive promos from record labels and producers. He frequently shines a spotlight on sub-genres such as Deep House, Progressive House, Melodic House and Techno, Tech House, Deep Tech, Organic House, and Techno.
The set opens with Damien Spencer’s Endless Skies, setting a deep Progressive House tone before Jannis Brinkmann and Naldoe continue the flow through the Chook remix of Dusk 28. Chris Cargo reinforces the atmospheric direction with Emantion, maintaining a smooth and melodic progression early in the session.
Digital Mess introduces a more melodic edge with I Am Lost, while Solee’s Luft returns the focus toward Progressive House. Daniel Wanrooy shifts the energy slightly with Bermuda, bringing a Main Floor Trance influence that adds lift without disrupting the flow.
The middle section develops through Pavel Khvaleev and Miss Monique’s Silent, where Progressive House remains central while melodic textures deepen the atmosphere. Lampe’s Back In Time increases intensity with a Peak Time Techno edge, creating contrast within the mix.
Amir Telem’s The Gopi’s Song Of Separation restores the Progressive House groove before Mancini introduces a stripped-back Minimal and Deep Tech direction with Helluva. This transition gives the set a darker and more hypnotic feel.
The closing stretch leans into Indie Dance as Affkt’s Nelabufa and Rafael Cerato’s Rollers add groove-led energy and melodic tension. Adelante’s Nilas in the Beatamines remix rounds off the session with a smooth Progressive House finish, completing a balanced underground journey across multiple electronic styles.
