Falso Simulacro has published the tracklist for his first guest appearance on Scientific Sound Asia. The station continues to operate as a key online hub for underground electronic music, DJ culture and artist development across Asia and the international scene.

Falso Simulacro, real name Rodrigo Perez Moran, is an Argentinian DJ and producer based in Buenos Aires with a career spanning more than three decades. Active as a DJ since the mid-1980s, he has been a constant presence within Argentina’s club culture, while his deeper focus on electronic music began around twenty years ago as the underground scene evolved and diversified.

Throughout his career, Rodrigo has held residencies at numerous venues across Buenos Aires, alongside a formative period performing in Uruguay during the early 1990s. In parallel, he has appeared as a guest DJ at events across Argentina, steadily building a reputation for consistency, musical depth and an ability to adapt to changing dancefloor dynamics without losing his identity.

His transition into production began in 1993, when he worked as a production assistant at Top Records, an experience that laid the foundation for a long-running studio output. Since then, Falso Simulacro has released music across Progressive House, Deep House, Tech House and Techno, favouring groove-driven structures, subtle atmospheres and functional club energy. His productions reflect the same restraint and maturity found in his DJ sets, balancing rhythm and space rather than relying on excess.

In recent years, his studio work has entered a particularly active phase, with new releases and collaborations continuing to surface on underground labels aligned with progressive and deep electronic sounds. These more recent productions show a refined approach, focusing on hypnotic movement, layered percussion and evolving arrangements designed for extended club play and late-night floors.

Alongside production and DJing, Falso Simulacro maintains a strong presence in radio. He performs regularly on international stations, including Maxximixx Electra in Tel Aviv and LDN Radio in London, in addition to his work with Scientific Sound Asia. His radio shows mirror his club philosophy, presenting carefully selected tracks that prioritise flow, mood and long-form storytelling.

This first guest show for Falso Simulacro on Scientific Sound Asia brings together decades of experience and current creative momentum, offering listeners a snapshot of Falso Simulacro’s enduring relationship with underground electronic music, rooted in history yet firmly engaged with the present.

The opening section establishes a deep, submerged atmosphere as Indigo by Vertical Amigo and Mangroove by Biodub ease the listener into slow-burning deep techno terrain. Absent Presence by Advanced Dreams introduces sharper rhythmic focus, while Lost Sequence from cv313 pulls the mix inward with dense, hypnotic layers and restrained tension.

Dub techno becomes the dominant language as Unmoving by Anton Kubikov and L.F.O. in the S.I.M. reshape stretch space and time through echo-driven structures. Tracks from Basicnoise, Abdulla Rashim and Svreca, and Aura Fresh deepen the immersion, favouring patience, texture and subtle movement over immediate impact.
