DJ Marco Mei of Bicycle Corporation returns with a new edition of his radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. The platform operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency and promoter, while also publishing music news and connecting audiences across the region and internationally.

With a career spanning more than three decades, Marco has developed a sound shaped by Afro-influenced rhythms, deep house foundations and club-driven energy. His approach reflects a strong connection to the dancefloor, supported by experience and a refined selection style built over time. This long-term perspective allows him to move fluidly between styles while maintaining a clear sense of direction in his sets.

Marco’s journey began in the early 1990s in Turin, where he became involved in the city’s underground scene. Through the Urban People collective, he helped organise independent events that contributed to Italy’s early electronic music movement, building a foundation that would later support his international career. These early experiences shaped both his technical approach and his understanding of crowd dynamics.

A key stage in his development came with a residency at Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh. This period expanded his international profile and led to performances at venues such as Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City. These appearances exposed him to a wide range of audiences and club environments, further refining his adaptable and globally informed style.

In 2009, he partnered with Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, to form Bicycle Corporation. Since then, the duo have released more than fifty tracks and remixes across Deep House, Tech House, French House and Techno on labels including Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka and GrooveTraxx. Their collaborative work reflects a balance between Marco’s club-focused instincts and Stefano’s structured musical background.

Their productions combine melodic detail with functional club structure, maintaining a balance between groove, arrangement and dancefloor impact. This approach has helped establish Bicycle Corporation as a consistent presence within the underground house and techno scene, with a catalogue that reflects both versatility and cohesion.

Beyond their releases, the duo continue to explore new creative directions through remixes, collaborations and electronic music radio work. Their output remains grounded in underground principles while adapting to contemporary production standards and evolving audience expectations.

Now based in Taipei, Marco Mei remains active across the Asian electronic music community. Through his weekly online radio show, he continues to present carefully curated sets that balance underground foundations with contemporary club sounds. Each broadcast reflects both his long-standing experience and his ongoing artistic development, reinforcing his role as a reliable and forward-thinking selector within the global scene.

Marco Mei 2026 episode 16 opens with a strong Disco House groove as Anané’s It Looks Like Love sets the tone, followed by Ackermann’s I Know What To Do and Can't Give You Up, establishing a warm House foundation. Aline Rocha and Caio Cenci introduce a Nu Disco touch with Berimbau, while Black Symphony continues the classic feel with The Party.

Momentum builds through BDK and Daniel Solar, where Thelma and Dirtiest Clean shift the energy into deeper territory. Mr. Fingers adds a Detroit Electro influence with Plastic Nightmares, bringing contrast before DJ Sneak and Gettoblaster inject a Jackin House groove with Mexico Is Magic.

The middle section leans into deeper and soulful sounds as Louie Vega with Willy Soul and Funki Cadets deliver Feelin’ Good Tonight, followed by NY Stomp’s Luve Me (I Need Ur Luv). Pinto (NYC) and Kiinjo, alongside Nick Curly, keep the groove flowing with steady House rhythms.

Disco elements return through Sweet Run’s Gledd and T.J. Swann and Company’s Get Fly, blending Funk and Nu Disco influences. Taana Gardner’s What Can I Do For You adds a Garage House moment, bringing a classic vocal-driven shift into the mix.

The later stages move into deeper territory with Window Guards and Yann Polewka, where Autumn Reshape and U Cant Feel It maintain a smooth Deep House flow. Supernova and St. David continue this direction, reinforcing the groove-led structure.

The closing stretch is guided by Luxxury’s Groove Prove, bringing the set back to Disco and Nu Disco influences. Across the session, Marco Mei delivers a cohesive blend of House Music, Deep House and Disco, balancing classic edits with modern productions and a consistent club-driven groove.

DJ Marco Mei will be performing live on Saturday, April 24th, 2026, between 6 and 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT). If you can't catch it live, a replay will be available on Wednesday from 6 to 8 AM (ICT).
