French DJ and producer DJ King Flow returns with another instalment of Mixtape Addict, presenting a finely curated blend of underground hip hop and continuing his mission to champion authentic lyricism and DJ craftsmanship. Broadcast via Scientific Sound Asia, the Vietnam-based international radio station, promoter and DJ agency, the show acts as a global platform for artists who uphold the core values of hip hop culture.

DJ King Flow began his journey at just fourteen, developing a style grounded in boom bap while embracing a modern sensibility. His approach honours the foundations of 90s hip hop yet remains firmly connected to the present, supporting new voices emerging across the underground. This ability to bridge eras has earned him recognition from listeners and artists worldwide, placing him among the most trusted selectors within lyrical hip hop.

Over the years, he has collaborated with influential figures such as Ras Kass, Tragedy Khadafi, O.C., Juicy J and Khujo Goodie, building connections that reinforce his commitment to preserving the genre’s lineage. Since launching Mixtape Addict in 2015, he has developed it into a respected hub for independent artists, offering radio shows, interviews and mixtape releases that spotlight genuine talent and strengthen the underground community.

As a producer, DJ King Flow continues to expand his creative range. His instrumental album The Adventures of F.J. Parker blends jazz-influenced melodies, soulful textures, deep grooves and the grit associated with traditional hip hop. His latest 2025 works, including Money, Give the Town Some Hope and several forthcoming collaborations, show continued artistic growth and a dedication to the craft.

Interview Guest: Wais P.

Interview guest Wais P joins this edition of Mixtape Addict as a respected figure within New York’s underground movement. Born in Brooklyn, he first came to prominence as part of Da Ranjahz, securing early attention through collaborations with Jay Z and close work with DJ Premier.

His polished delivery, sharp punchlines and confident narrative voice placed him firmly within the East Coast lyricist tradition, allowing him to stand out during a period defined by competition and technical skill. As a solo artist, Wais P has continued to build on this foundation with a long run of acclaimed projects and singles shaped by classic Boom Bap production.

He has collaborated with influential producers such as Statik Selektah, The Alchemist and Fredro Starr, and has maintained strong ties with contemporary underground artists including The Musalini, Smoke DZA and Skyzoo. His work is recognised for its clear rhyme structure, slick wordplay and a storytelling style rooted in real experience.

Beyond his studio output, Wais P has remained committed to lyrical craft and cultural authenticity. His catalogue bridges generations, offering a direct line from the 90s foundation to the current wave of independent hip hop. As an interview guest, he brings insight into both the history and ongoing evolution of East Coast underground music, making his appearance on Mixtape Addict a highlight for listeners who value depth, honesty and craftsmanship.

The episode opens with a sharp focus on Wais P, who sets the tone immediately through Logic, You See It and Return Of The Mack, each full of polished New York energy and rugged Boom Bap drums. Skyzoo elevates the lyrical level with Sky Is Like, before Snowgoons unleash heavy aggression on The Hatred 3. DJ King Flow introduces French-infused underground pressure with Laser Rouge, and the tension rises even further when Obleak and his crew deliver the apocalyptic Defcon 1.

Vado adds Harlem swagger through his fiery take on Made You Look, and the international flavour expands as ISH ONE steps in on The Movement, merging Japanese and American underground tones. Jay Royale pays tribute to Big L through Ebonics Revisited, grounding the set in golden era philosophy. Jadakiss brings street weight to Niggaz On The Inside, followed by Nino Man’s heartfelt Child Of Harlem. Big Twins adds Queensbridge grit with Coffee, before Madman Rodney Sage and DJ King Flow switch into a reflective but rugged mode on Long Time.

Hatch Wiseguy intensifies the Hardcore mood with Foreigner, pushing the energy darker before Obleak, Outcast Gawd Lord El and J Vengeance return with the sinister Humanoid Reptile. The sequencing keeps the set balanced between lyrical craftsmanship, aggressive street delivery and raw East Coast drum programming, showing how wide the Boom Bap palette stretches while remaining cohesive.

The show concludes with DJ King Flow’s interview with Wais P, tying the earlier selections into his long-standing New York legacy. Their conversation highlights the intent behind Wais P’s craft, his approach to storytelling and his collaborations with iconic producers. Episode 77 stands as a refined blend of sharp lyricism, heavyweight Boom Bap production and international underground culture guided by DJ King Flow.

The live broadcast is scheduled for Wednesday, December 9th, 2025, from 8 PM to 10 PM Indochina Time (ICT), with a replay planned for Saturday between 8 AM and 10 AM (ICT).
