French DJ and producer DJ King Flow returns with another edition of Mixtape Addict, bringing an expertly crafted mix of underground hip hop alongside an exclusive interview with DJ Deadeye. Broadcast via Scientific Sound Asia, the Vietnam-based international radio station and DJ agency, the show continues to stand as a voice for lyrical skill, turntablism, and authentic hip hop culture.

DJ King Flow began his career at just 14, developing a unique approach rooted in Boom Bap but reimagined with a fresh, modern touch. His sets pay homage to hip hop’s golden era while introducing rising underground talent, earning him recognition from artists and fans worldwide.

Across the years, he has collaborated with legends including Ras Kass, Tragedy Khadafi, O.C., Juicy J, and Khujo Goodie, bridging the gap between generations and preserving the art form’s foundation. Since its creation in 2015, Mixtape Addict has grown from a radio show into a full platform supporting independent hip hop through interviews, mixtapes, and dedicated artist promotion.

As a producer, DJ King Flow continues to expand his sound. His instrumental album The Adventures of F.J. Parker blends smooth jazz textures, deep house rhythms, gritty hip hop beats, and soulful R&B influences. His 2025 singles Money and Give the Town Some Hope further demonstrate his evolution and creativity.

This week’s guest, DJ Deadeye, joins the show to discuss his journey as an independent artist and label founder. From Puerto Rico and raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts, DJ Deadeye has channelled real-life experience into powerful storytelling and determination through his music. Together, DJ King Flow and DJ Deadeye deliver a show that celebrates authenticity, collaboration, and the continued evolution of real hip hop.

Interview Guest: DJ Deadeye.

DJ Deadeye is a Lawrence, Massachusetts-based DJ, producer, and long-time member of ST da Squad, known for his dedication to authentic Boom Bap and underground hip-hop culture. Originally from Puerto Rico and raised in Massachusetts since early childhood, he forged his path through mixtape culture, DJing, and grassroots collaborations.

His 2022 album Intervention marked a significant milestone in his career by pulling together heavyweight collaborators and showcasing his evolution from mixtape DJ to full-blown producer and curator. The project emphasized storytelling, growth and a clear shift in mindset.

More recently, he released the single Drug Plots featuring Inspectah Deck, signalling his ongoing commitment to rugged, lyric-driven hip-hop and his standing as an underground heavyweight.

Throughout his journey, DJ Deadeye has maintained a respect for hip-hop’s roots, vinyl, DJ sets, battle mentality, while adapting to new opportunities and voices.

Known for his work behind the scenes and his tireless support of independent emcees, he remains a bridge between the early mixtape era and today’s underground scene. As a guest, he’ll bring insight into his current projects, behind-the-scenes production stories, and the mindset of an artist still grinding, still producing and still representing real hip-hop.

Mixtape Addict Episode 70 opens with a hard-hitting lineup from DJ Deadeye, featuring Drug Plots alongside Method Man, Termanology, and Inspectah Deck, instantly setting the tone for pure East Coast energy. The momentum continues with Hardcore 24 featuring The Artifacts and Wild Puerto Ricans, both cementing Deadeye’s sound as rugged and authentic. DJ King Flow blends these tracks seamlessly, preserving that golden-era Boom Bap spirit.

The session then dives into darker street reflections with Headorgut by Dialect Sosa and No Way Out by Contageous Funk, blending social commentary with stripped-back beats. Worldwide by Meeco & DJ Access featuring Planet Asia adds lyrical precision, while Everyday by EC Fam rounds out the conscious section with laid-back flow and message-driven production.

As the mix progresses, Supaflee by Joey Bada$$ & Bri Steve brings an alternative Boom Bap groove, followed by Gotta Get It from Nutso and Business Merger by Hit Boy & The Alchemist, both nodding to the hustle culture that runs through the streets. These tracks balance introspection with unapologetic grit, reflecting the duality that defines underground hip hop.

Closing out the hour, DJ King Flow connects with DJ Deadeye in an exclusive interview, exploring the technical craft behind his signature production and collaborations with East Coast legends. With contributions from Mobb Deep, El Gant, and Napoleon Da Legend, Mixtape Addict 70 stands as another uncompromising salute to the culture, where Boom Bap thrives, lyricism reigns, and authenticity never fades.

The live broadcast is set for Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 8 PM to 10 PM Indochina Time (ICT), with a replay scheduled for Saturday from 8 AM to 10 AM (ICT).
