This Sunday, DJ Kafka presents a new edition of his monthly show on Scientific Sound Asia, the online Asian radio station, DJ agency, and event management company with a growing global presence.

Sai Subramanian, better known as DJ Kafka, is widely regarded as one of India’s leading DJs. A graduate of Spin DJ Academy, he has built a strong profile through appearances at venues including Tavern, Brighton, Lush, HQ, Purple Haze and Vie Lounge. His performances blend technical precision with stylistic versatility, securing his position as a favourite on dancefloors across India and abroad.

Kafka is celebrated for his immersive sets, where Techno, Electronica and Experimental elements merge effortlessly with Deep House, Tech House and Progressive tones. His mixes demonstrate a deep commitment to pushing boundaries while maintaining a fluid, inviting atmosphere. This distinctive approach has earned him recognition throughout the global house and techno radio community.

His international presence continues to expand with guest features on Play FM in Austria, Desert Island Decks and Studio Lux FM in Luxembourg. Drawing influence from artists such as Massive Attack, Cristian Paduraru and Skream, he crafts journeys that balance energy, emotion and sonic exploration.

Beyond his radio and club work, Kafka has collaborated with event partners including Kroniq, T3Entertainment, Wizard Networks, The Midnight Project and Sync Entertainment. His sets are often remembered for their blend of experimental textures and club-driven impact, resonating strongly with diverse audiences.

Over the past year, Kafka’s career has accelerated further, marked by collaborations with Mechanic and Tropic Records in Mexico City and Visiomind Records in Vienna. These partnerships have strengthened his artistic profile and expanded his catalogue across international markets.

His achievements include winning the Maxximixx DJ Awards in Israel in 2021 and the HMRPool DJ Contest in Trinidad & Tobago in 2022, solidifying his status as an emerging global talent. Today, DJ Kafka stands as a respected and forward-thinking figure in electronic music, continuing to build cultural connections and push his craft to new horizons.

The mix opens with the stripped precision of Minimal Deep Tech from Dani Sbert, Abis Läufer and Alex Monster, each track working with tight percussion and subtle groove building. Sergey Alymov and 6Foot6 introduce Progressive House textures, lifting the mood with warmer synth work before HNTR blends modern Melodic House and Techno into the early flow.

Energy rises sharply as peak time Techno begins to dominate. Mars Tedak and Gaist shift the pace into heavier territory, with UMEK’s signature driving power anchoring the mix. Vakabular, KODA AR and Andy Bsk maintain this momentum with thundering kick patterns and tense atmospheres, while Roddy Lima returns briefly to a more minimal groove before the mix charges forward again.

Psy-Trance elements enter with Shanti People’s edits and remixes, followed by Vini Vici and Ace Ventura delivering full festival energy. Trance emerges in a different form through Mario Ayush and Paul Hind’s uplifting rework, while Basil O Glue offers a deeper hypnotic trance approach that bridges smoothly back toward harder techno rhythms and darker tonalities.

The final run blends Tech House from Marco Lys and Danny Avila with raw hypnotic cuts by Hertz & Wehbba and Alarico. Gary Beck’s KiNK re-rub injects a touch of house swing before the set concludes with hard driving techno from Mr. Ciao, Sandar Sanchez and John Summit, closing the mix with maximum impact and peak time intensity.

Watch the live broadcast on Sunday, December 7th, 2025, from 8 PM to 10 PM Indochina Time (ICT). A replay will be available on Thursday, from 8 AM to 10 AM (ICT).
